La poste kirghize, le 2ème opérateur postal désigné du Kirghizstan, est une des rares administrations postales dites sérieuses (Chypre, Monaco, Corée du Nord, Algérie, Russie...) à avoir mis en circulation des timbres consacrés à la prochaine Coupe du monde de football (21ème édition), organisée en Russie du 14 juin au 15 juillet 2018.
Le 3 mai 2018, 4 timbres (tirage : 5100 chacun) ont été émis, imprimés chacun en feuillet de 6 timbres ainsi que dans un même bloc-feuillet.
Comme quelques autres administrations postales (l'Azerbaïdjan ou la Corée du Nord par exemple), la poste kirghize a également mis en circulation cette série en version non dentelée avec tirage limité (900 seulement pour ces 4 timbres).
The Kyrgyz Post, the second designated postal operator of Kyrgyzstan, is one of the few so called "serious" postal administrations (Cyprus, Monaco, North Korea, Algeria, Russia ...) to have put into circulation some stamps devoted to the next FIFA World Cup (21st edition), organized in Russia from June 14 to July 15, 2018.
On May 3, 2018, four stamps (print run: 5,100 each) were issued, each printed in a sheetlet of 6 stamps as well as in one souvenir sheet.
Like some other postal administrations (Azerbaijan or North Korea, for example), the Kyrgyz Post also put into circulation this series in imperforated version and limited edition (900 only for these 4 stamps).

Ces 4 timbres (20 KGS, 27 KGS, 48 KGS, 102 KGS), sans le logo officiel de cette compétition, montrent différentes actions de jeu avec aucun des joueurs qui ne semble porter le maillot de l'équipe nationale kirghize...
Sans doute pour rappeler que le Kirghizstan ne s'est jamais qualifié pour une phase finale de coupe du monde.
Mais l'équipe nationale a atteint récemment son meilleur classement FIFA (75ème) et s'est qualifiée pour la 1ère coupe d'Asie de son histoire, qui aura lieu en 2019 aux Émirats Arabes Unis.
A noter enfin, que l'autre opérateur postal du Kirghizstan, la Kyrgyz Express Post, n'a pas prévu d'émettre de timbres consacrés à cette coupe du monde en Russie.

These 4 stamps (20 KGS, 27 KGS, 48 KGS, 102 KGS), without the official logo of this competition, are featuring different football game actions with none of the players who seem to wear the jersey of the Kyrgyz national team ...
No doubt to recall that Kyrgyzstan has never qualified for a FIFA World Cup.
But the national team recently reached its best FIFA ranking (75th) and qualified for the first AFC Asian Cup in its history, which will take place in 2019 in the United Arab Emirates.
Finally, to note that the other Kyrgyzstan's postal operator, the Kyrgyz Express Post, has not planned to issue stamps dedicated to this FIFA World Cup in Russia.
