Special covers from 2018 Essen International Stamp Exhibition

A big thank you Jens for this interesting envelope having for theme the 28th edition of the international philatelic exhibition ("International Briefmarken-Messe") held in Essen from May 3 to 5, 2018!
On May 3, 2018, the Deutsche Post issued 3 new stamps as part of its charity series "Für den Sport" ("For sport").
Since 1968, these stamps are indeed issued with surcharges devoted to the German Sport Aid Foundation ("Stiftung Deutsche Sporthilfe") and allowed to collect nearly € 130 million which were used to finance social programs in the field of youth and sports.
This new series entitled "Legendäre Fußballspiele" or "Legendary Football games" is in particular dedicated to the 3 FIFA World Cup Finals in 1954, 1974 and 1990, won by Germany.

During the 3 days of this exhibition in Essen, the Deutsche Post has marketed the prepaid envelope above "Messebriefumschlag" (selling price: € 1.20), including one of the 3 stamps (€ 0.70 + € 0.30) of this new series "Für den Sport" (design: Astrid Grahl and Lutz Menze).
That stamp is dedicated to the final of the FIFA World Cup in 1954 (organized in Switzerland), won by the FRG on the score of 3-2 against Hungary, yet archi favorite of this competition.
During this tournament and then the final, often referred to as "The Miracle of Bern", the German goalkeeper, Anton Turek (1919-1984), was the author of several class judgments, especially against Nándor Hidegkuti and German radio commentator Herbert Zimmermann exclaimed "Turek, du bist ein Fußballgott!" ("Turek, you're a football god!").
That's what this stamp recalls, the illustration on the left on this envelope showing the goal of the victory (by Helmut Rahn) in this final of 1954 and the statue of Anton Turek erected in Düsseldorf, the club where he played between 1950 and 1955.

The Czech Post was also present in Essen and, as usual, has issued the special postal stationary above (permanent rate "E" for a shipment up to 50g to Europe, currently 35 CZK).
Bret was kind enough to send me this postal stationery (selling price: 40 CZK, print run: 2,100) from Prague with postmark of May 3, 2018.
This card, designed by Jan Ungrád, including the words "PostFila Prag" (the Czech Post "Philately" special department), includes an illustration to the left of various architectural motifs from this area of Essen, in particular the headquarters of the ThyssenKrupp company and the statue of an angel, by sculptor Ewald Mataré (1887-1965) for the bishop's residence of the local diocese.

Merci beaucoup Jens !
