Le 30 avril 2018, la poste du Belarus "Belpochta" a mis en circulation 2 timbres EUROPA ayant pour thème les ponts cette année, évoquant en particulier le pont routier de Dzisna et la passerelle menant à l'île du courage et de la douleur à Minsk.
Ces 2 timbres, conçus par Yauheniya Biadonik à partir de dessins originaux de Tatyana Dolskaya, ont été imprimés chacun en feuillet de 6 timbres (tirage : 60000 pour chaque timbre) ainsi que dans un bloc-feuillet (tirage : 20000) composé de ces 2 timbres + 2 vignettes.
C'est ce joli bloc-feuillet, incluant la mention "Ponts" (en anglais et biélorusse) et le logo EUROPA dans les marges, qui figure sur la lettre ci-dessous, envoyée depuis Minsk le 1er jour d'émission. Merci beaucoup Alexander !
On April 30, 2018, the Belarus Post "Belpochta" put into circulation two EUROPA stamps devoted to the theme of bridges this year, referring in particular to the Dzisna road bridge and the footbridge leading to the "Island of courage and sorrow" in Minsk.
These two stamps, designed by Yauheniya Biadonik from original drawings by Tatyana Dolskaya, were each printed in a sheet of 6 stamps (print run: 60,000 for each stamp) and in a sheetlet (print run: 20,000) consisting of these 2 stamps + 2 labels.
It is this beautiful sheetlet, including the mention "Bridges" (in English and Belorussian) and the EUROPA logo in the margins, which was used on the cover below, sent from Minsk on the first day of issue. Thank you very much Alexander!
A noter en bas à gauche le TAD Premier Jour évoquant cette passerelle construite sur la rivière Svislotch à Minsk, la capitale, pour mener à une île artificielle, appelée "île du courage et de la douleur".
Cette passerelle, représentée sur le timbre de valeur permanente "P" (1,68 BYN - lettre jusqu'à 20g à l'étranger par voie aérienne) et sur la vignette ci-dessus en bas à droite, permet aux visiteurs de se rendre au Mémorial construit en 1996 sur cette île pour rendre hommage aux soldats biélorusses morts lors de la guerre d'Afghanistan (entre 1979 et 1989). 771 soldats ont péri lors de ce conflit sur un total d'environ 30000 soldats engagés...
L'autre timbre au tarif permanent "H" (1,50 BYN - lettre par voie terrestre jusqu'à 20g vers l'étranger) représente le pont routier construit à la fin du 19ème siècle dans la petite ville de Dzisna (nord du pays), une des plus petites localités du pays, sur la rivière du même nom.
Ce pont, composé de 2 parties métalliques en forme d'arche, sur des piliers en pierre, est considéré comme le plus vieux pont routier du Belarus.
To note on the bottom left the First Day cancellation evoking this footbridge built on the Svislach river in Minsk, the capital, to reach an artificial island, called "Island of courage and sorrow".
This footbridge, featured on the permanent value "P" stamp (BYN 1.68 - airmail letter up to 20g sent abroad) and on the label above on the bottom right, allows people to visit the Memorial built in 1996 on this island to pay homage to the Belarusian soldiers who died during the war in Afghanistan (between 1979 and 1989). 771 soldiers perished during this conflict out of a total of about 30,000 soldiers ...
The other permanent "H" stamp (BYN 1.50 - surface tariff of a letter up to 20 gram abroad) represents the road bridge built at the end of the 19th century in the small town of Dzisna (north of the country), one of the smallest towns in the country, on the river of the same name.
This bridge, consisting of two arched metal parts on stone pillars, is considered as the oldest road bridge in Belarus.
