Since its first participation at the Olympic Winter Games in 1984, the Principality of Monaco has engaged athletes only in two disciplines : alpine skiing and bobsleigh.
It was again the case during the 23rd Winter Games held in PyeongChang, South Korea in February 2018, with a Monegasque delegation of four athletes (3 men and 1 woman) who unfortunately did not win any medals.

On February 8, 2018, the OETP of Monaco issued a special stamp (€ 0.95, print run: 45,000) devoted to these PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games, designed by David Maraskin.
It is that stamp, issued in sheetlet of 10 stamps, which was used on the right on the cover above sent from the principality on June 18, 2018.
That stamp includes the emblem of the Monegasque Olympic Committee and is featuring the 2 disciplines (alpine skiing and 2-man bob) in which Monegasque athletes competed.
The other stamp above (€ 0.85, print run: 50,000) was issued on September 18, 2017 to celebrate the title of champion of France won by the AS Monaco Football Club during the 2016-2017 season.
The coach of the team, Leonardo Jardim, as well as the players of the victorious team, are represented on the stamp, with also the logo of the club on the right and the mention "Champions".
It was the 8th French Championship title of the club, after 1961, 1963, 1978, 1982, 1988, 1997 and 2000.
Also worthy of note is the cachet offered to the public by the OETP of Monaco during the last "Paris-Philex" stamp exhibition held in Paris from 7 to 10 June 2018, showing the Notre-Dame cathedral with the Prince's Palace of Monaco in the background.
