"Sokol movement - Nazdar!" postmark on cover from Czech Republic

From 2 to 6 July 2018, the Czech Post put into circulation in Prague a new postmark (proposed by a temporary post office located in the Eden Arena, the stadium of the football club of SK Slavia Prague) devoted to the Sokol movement in the occasion of the 16th meeting ("XVI. všesokolský slet") of this movement organized in Prague from 1 to 6 July 2018.
This Sokol movement (meaning falcon in Czech) was created in 1862 by Miroslav Tyrš and Jindřich Fügner in the midst of a Czech national revival movement (against Austria-Hungarian authorities), in order to develop a sporting and patriotic spirit. Repeatedly prohibited during periods of totalitarianism, the Sokol was again authorized from 1990 onwards.
This meeting (the first one was organized in 1882), the only 16th in 136 years, was held as part of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the creation of Czechoslovakia.

This sport movement (190,000 members in Czech Republic today) has influenced many other countries, mainly populated by the Slavic culture.
This new postmark was applied on the nice letter above, franked with the stamp (14 CZK) issued on February 15, 2012 on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the creation of this Sokol movement. Thank you very much Slavek!
A Sokol's flag, painted by artist Josef Mánes (1820-1871), also the author of the Sokol's first uniform, is reproduced on that stamp.
"Nazdar!" is a form of greeting approved by this Sokol movement in 1862. Later, this greeting became famous during World War I, thanks to the Czech volunteers who formed the base of the Czechoslovak legions in France. Nazdar was then adopted by the Czech Scouts and is still used by the Czech Armed Forces.
To note also above this additional label (21 CZK) to reach the current tariff (35 CZK) for a priority shipment up to 50g to European countries.
