Lors d'une cérémonie organisée le 23 juillet 2019 à l'ambassade des USA à Montevideo, la poste uruguayenne (Correo Uruguayo) a mis en circulation un bloc-feuillet spécial (65 pesos) consacré au 50ème anniversaire du premier alunissage ("50 años del primer alunizaje").
Conçu par Alejandro Muntz, ce bloc-feuillet (tirage inconnu) a la particularité d'avoir été imprimé avec un effet 3D (avec les lunettes adaptées), une première dans le pays !
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir la jolie lettre ci-dessous affranchie avec ce bloc-feuillet, envoyée le 12 août 2019 depuis la ville de Sarandi Grande. Merci beaucoup Jorge !
Ce timbre fait référence à cette journée historique du 20 juillet 1969 lorsque Neil Armstrong posa pour la première fois le pied sur la lune.
At a ceremony held on July 23, 2019 at the US Embassy in Montevideo, the Uruguayan Post (Correo Uruguayo) issued a special souvenir sheet (65 pesos) dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing ("50 años del primer alunizaje").
Designed by Alejandro Muntz, this souvenir sheet (unknown print run) has the particularity of having been printed with a 3D effect (with adapted glasses), a first in the country!

Le 20 juillet 1969, pour la première fois dans l'histoire de l'humanité, deux astronautes américains, Neil Armstrong et Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, ont en effet marché sur la lune.
Cinq jours plus tôt, dans le cadre de la mission Apollo 11, Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin et Michael Collins décollaient à bord d'une fusée Saturn-V du Kennedy Space Center en Floride, entrant en orbite lunaire le 19 juillet 1969.
Pour rappel, plus d'une trentaine d'administrations postales ont émis ou vont émettre des timbres ou blocs-feuillets cette année consacrés à cet évènement qui a marqué l'humanité toute entière.
A travers cette émission, la poste uruguayenne nous rappelle que cet exploit a été le fruit d'un travail de 350000 personnes et un coût de 24 milliards de dollars !

On July 20, 1969, for the first time in the history of humanity, two American astronauts, Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, indeed walked on the Moon.
Five days earlier, as part of the Apollo 11 mission, Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins took off aboard a Saturn V rocket from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, entering lunar orbit on July 19, 1969.
As a reminder, more than thirty postal administrations have issued or will issue stamps or souvenir sheets this year dedicated to this event that has marked the whole of humanity.
Through this stamp issue, the Uruguayan Post reminds us that this feat was the result of a work of 350,000 people and a cost of 24 billion dollars!
