"Apollo 11 Mission, 1969-2019" stamp set on cover from Canada

On June 27, 2019, the Canadian Post also contributed to the many stamp issues commemorating this year the 50th anniversary of the first human step on the Moon.
On July 20, 1969, for the first time in the history of humanity, two American astronauts, Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, indeed walked on the Moon.
Five days earlier, as part of the Apollo 11 mission, Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins took off aboard a Saturn-V rocket from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, entering lunar orbit on July 19, 1969.
The two stamps (domestic permanent rate - $ 0.90) put into circulation by Canada refer in particular to this Apollo 11 mission from a scientific point of view, recalling the essential role that the ingenuity, expertise and determination of Canadians have played in this feat.
The two stamps were printed in the same booklet (print run: 240,000) of 10 self-adhesive stamps (5 of each) as well as in a sheetlet of 6 gummed stamps.

These 2 stamps, designed by Matthew Clark (Subplot Design Inc.) from illustrations by Mack Sztaba, represent respectively the command module (piloted by Collins) orbiting Earth and the lunar module Eagle which allowed Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin to land on the Moon.
Thank you very much Tristan for this nice letter sent on July 22, 2019 from Toronto, stamped with the self-adhesive version of this series!
The official First Day cover features portraits of Canadian engineers James Chamberlin (1915-1981) and Owen Maynard (1924-2000) who played major roles in NASA in the years leading up to this Apollo 11 mission.
Chamberlin worked on the type of spacecraft that would be best suited for transporting the Apollo 11 astronauts, also involved in solving lunar module problems, as well as verifying space suits and astronaut survival systems.
Maynard created the initial sketches that led to the design of the lunar module, and he ensured that the numerous mission-critical systems of the lunar module and the command and service module interacted properly.
The Canadian company Héroux Machine Parts Limited (now Héroux-Devtek) manufactured the lunar module's landing-gear leg, which remained on the Moon.
