La poste tchèque n'a pas émis de timbre cette année consacré au 50ème anniversaire du premier pas de l'homme sur la Lune mais un TAD spécial a été mis en circulation le 21 juillet 2019, 50 ans jour pour jour après cet exploit.
Le 20 juillet 1969, pour la première fois dans l'histoire de l'humanité, deux astronautes américains, Neil Armstrong et Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, ont en effet marché sur la Lune.
Cinq jours plus tôt, dans le cadre de la mission Apollo 11, Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin et Michael Collins décollaient à bord d'une fusée Saturn-V du Kennedy Space Center en Floride, entrant en orbite lunaire le 19 juillet 1969.
Ce TAD, conçu par Jan Ungrád (empreinte de pas sur la Lune avec la Terre dans le fond), a été appliqué sur la jolie lettre ci-dessous envoyée depuis le bureau de poste principal de Prague 1. Merci beaucoup Slavek !
The Czech Post has not issued any stamp this year about the 50th anniversary of the man's first step on the Moon, but a special cancellation was released on July 21, 2019, 50 years to the day after this feat.
On July 20, 1969, for the first time in the history of humanity, two American astronauts, Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, indeed walked on the Moon.
Five days earlier, as part of the Apollo 11 mission, Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins took off aboard a Saturn-V rocket from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, entering lunar orbit on July 19, 1969.
This postmark, designed by Jan Ungrád (footprint on the Moon with the Earth in the background), was applied on the beautiful letter below sent from the Prague 1 main post office. Thank you very much Slavek!
Ce TAD comporte la mention "Neil Armstrong, první člověk na Měsíci" ("Neil Armstrong, le premier homme sur la lune") ainsi que les années 1969 et 2019.
Slavek a affranchi sa lettre avec le timbre (31 CZK) émis le 18 janvier 2005 dans un bloc-feuillet, consacré à l'émouvant destin d'un adolescent tchèque juif mort en déportation, Petr Ginz (1928-1944) qui rêvait de voyager dans l'espace ainsi que le destin tragique du 1er astronaute israélien.
Un portrait de Petr Ginz figure sur ce timbre ainsi que son dessin intitulé "Le paysage lunaire" réalisé pendant sa déportation au camp de concentration de Terezin, en Bohême centrale.
Ce dessin, extrait de son livre de science-fiction intitulé "La planète Terre vue depuis la Lune", est devenu aujourd'hui un des symboles de la Shoah. L'original est conservé au musée Yad Vashem de Jérusalem.
Lors de la mission STS-107 en 2003, l'astronaute israélien Ilan Ramon emporta avec lui dans la navette une copie de ce dessin de Petr Ginz, ce qui lui permettait symboliquement de réaliser son rêve de regarder la Terre depuis l'espace. Malheureusement, lors de sa rentrée dans l'atmosphère le 1er février 2003 au-dessus du Texas, cette navette se désintégra et causa la mort de ses 7 membres d'équipage.

Slavek franked his letter with the stamp (31 CZK) issued on January 18, 2005 in a souvenir sheet, dedicated to the moving fate of a young Jewish Czech, dead in deportation, Petr Ginz (1928-1944), who dreamed of space travel and also the tragic fate of the first Israeli astronaut.
A portrait of Petr Ginz is featured on this stamp as well as his drawing entitled "Moon Landscape" made during his deportation to the Terezin concentration camp in Central Bohemia.
This drawing, from his science-fiction book entitled "Planet Earth as seen by the Moon", has become a symbol of the Holocaust. The original work is kept at the Yad Vashem Museum in Jerusalem.
During the STS-107 mission in 2003, the Israeli astronaut Ilan Ramon took with him in the shuttle a copy of this drawing by Petr Ginz, which allowed him to symbolically fulfill his dream of watching the Earth from space. Unfortunately, during its re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere on February 1, 2003, the shuttle disintegrated over Texas and caused the death of the 7 crew members.
