Le timbre à droite (1,35€, tirage : 70000), émis le 3 novembre 2017, fait partie de la série "Animaux dans l'art", une représentation de bœufs ici, un détail du retable de l'église Sant Miquel del Prats.
Cette petite église romane a été construite entre le 12ème et le 13ème siècle dans le village de Prats (paroisse de Canillo).
Ce motif apparaît sur l'un des volets de l'entablement du retable et fait partie de la scène de "l'Apparition ou miracle du Monte Gargano", une œuvre datant du gothique tardif.
Ce retable est considéré comme l'un des exemples les plus représentatifs de la peinture du 16ème siècle en Andorre.

The stamp on the right (€ 1.35, print run: 70,000), issued on November 3, 2017, is part of the series "Animals in Art", a representation of oxen here, a detail of the altarpiece of the church Sant Miquel del Prats.
This small Romanesque church was built between the 12th and 13th century in the village of Prats (Parish of Canillo).
This motif appears in one of the upper panels of the altarpiece, depicting the "Apparition or miracle of Mount Gargano" scene, a piece from the late Gothic period.
This altarpiece is considered one of the most representative examples of 16th century painting in Andorra.
Ce retable était attribué à un auteur appelé "Mestre de Canillo" mais on a découvert récemment qu'il était l'œuvre du peintre Miquel Ramells et du doreur Guy de Borgonyó et datait de 1530 environ.
Au début du 20ème siècle, le retable a été vendu à un antiquaire qui l'a à son tour revendu pièce par pièce, dont certaines ont été retrouvées au cours de ces dernières années...
Cette scène de "l'Apparition ou miracle du Monte Gargano" a été acquise en 2011 par Crèdit Andorrà et fait partie de son fonds artistique.
L'autre timbre (0,30€, tirage : 300000), émis le 12 février 2007, fait partie de la série "Patrimoine naturel" avec ici une reproduction d'une peinture à l'huile "Encamp 1994" par l'artiste Francesc Galobardes.
Cette œuvre représente en particulier l'église Santa Eulalia d'Encamp en hiver. Cette église d'origine romane puis remaniée dans un style baroque (16ème et 17ème siècle), est constitué du clocher roman le plus haut (23 mètres) de la Principauté d'Andorre.
