TAD tchèque consacré à Postcrossing !

This cancellation, designed by David Vlček, was available from 24 to 28 February 2014 at the main post office N°1 in Prague.
It is that postmark which was applied to the nice cover above sent by registered mail from Prague on February 24, 2014. Thank you very much Bret :-)
This cancellation includes the mention "Pohlednice z celého světa" ("Postcards from around the world"), a post horn as well as a reference to the next Sběratel collector fair to be held in September 2014 in Prague.
The stamp above to the left (10 Kč) was issued on April 22, 2009 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the building housing the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in Prague.
The stamp in the middle (20 Kč), issued on April 4, 2012, commemorates the 190th anniversary of the birth of Johann Gregor Mendel (1822-1884), considered as the founder of modern genetics.

On the occasion of the issue of this postmark devoted to Postcrossing, the Czech Post issued this special numbered commemorative sheet above !
The stamp used here, issued on October 5, 2011, is also linked to the postal world since it announced the World Post Day ("Světový den pošty") celebrated every year on October 9th.
That stamp depicts an allegory by Slovak illustrator Dušan Kállay, featuring Hermes, the messenger of the gods, playing horn (postal symbol) on a globe around which doves carrying letters are flying...
