Lettre de Jordanie

J'ai longtemps hésité avant de publier cette lettre, la toute première, en provenance du royaume hachémite de Jordanie...
J'ai choisi finalement de vous la montrer car elle est une sorte de témoin des dérives de la privatisation de certaines administrations postales dans le monde.
Et il s'agit d'un thème d'actualité en France où un changement de statut de la Poste est envisagé...
Silvia (merci beaucoup !) m'a expliqué, avant d'envoyer sa lettre, qu'en raison de la privatisation de la Jordan Post, il était actuellement très difficile de se procurer des timbres pour affranchir son courrier. Elle n'a manifestement pas réussi :-(
I've hesitated for a long time before publishing this letter, the first one, received from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan...
I've finally chosen to show it to you because it is a kind of witness of the current abuse of privatization of certain postal administrations worldwide.
And it is a topical issue in France where a change of status of "La Poste" is underway...
Silvia (thank you !) explained me, before sending her letter, that due to the privatization of the Jordan Post, it was currently very difficult to obtain postage stamps to frank her mail. She didn't obviously succeed :-(

Silvia a donc du avoir recours à un timbre de distributeur sans intérêt (valeur 0,800 dinars jordaniens) pour pouvoir envoyer sa lettre le 20 octobre 2009 à 10h44...
La machine ayant délivré ce timbre était situé dans un des 11 bureaux de postes de Jordanie implantés directement dans des universités, à savoir ici l'université de sciences et de technologie de Jordanie ("JUST").
Cette université publique, située à Irbid (nord-ouest du pays), est considérée comme l'une des deux plus importantes universités de Jordanie pour l'ingénierie et la médecine.
A noter la faute d'orthographe sur cette vignette : "SCINCE" au lieu de "SCIENCE"...
Silvia therefore resorted to an ATM stamp without any interest (value of 0.800 Jordanian Dinars) to send this letter on October 20, 2009 at 10:44 am...
The machine that have issued this ATM stamp was located in one of the 11 post offices in Jordan to be directly situated inside universities, namely here the Jordan University of Science and Technology ("JUST").
This state university, located in the city of Irbid (North-West Jordan), is considered as one of the two greatest higher education institutions in Jordan for engineering and medicine.
It's worth noting the spelling mistake on this ATM stamp : "SCINCE" instead of "SCIENCE"...
