Le timbre à 90 kuruş (1 livre turque = 100 kuruş) commémore fort justement le 90ème anniversaire de la première session, le 23 avril 1920, de la Grande assemblée nationale de Turquie ("Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi") à Ankara.
Ce timbre, au format impressionnant, fait partie d'une série de 2 timbres émis le 23 avril 2010, 90 ans jour pour jour après cet événement fondateur de la république turque, indépendante en 1923, chère à Mustafa Kemal Atatürk dont le portrait figure, une fois de plus, sur ce timbre...

The 90 kuruş stamp (1 lira = 100 kuruş) rightly commemorates the 90th anniversary of the first session, on April 23, 1920, of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey ("Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi") in Ankara.
This stamp, with an impressive format, is part of a set of two stamps issued on April 23, 2010, 90 years to the day after this founding event of the Turkish republic, independent in 1923, with Mustafa Kemal Atatürk as first president (his portrait is included, once again, on this stamp)...

L'emblème de ce parlement ainsi que le logo officiel de ce 90ème anniversaire figurent sur ce timbre à gauche qui semble aussi représenter le bâtiment d'origine qui abritait cette assemblée (à gauche) et le nouvel édifice datant des années 1960.
Une mention est également incluse dans la partie basse : "Egemenlik kayıtsız şartsız milletindir" signifiant "La souveraineté appartient sans condition à la nation".
Suite à un récent changement de ses tarifs, la poste turque a apposé à gauche sur cette lettre une empreinte (avec un slogan publicitaire ?) rouge ayant pour valeur 30 kuruş.
The emblem of this Parliament and the official logo of this 90th anniversary are included on this stamp (on the left) with also, if I'm not wrong, the original building that housed this Assembly (left) and the new building dating from 1960's.
A sentence is also included in the lower part : "Egemenlik kayıtsız şartsız milletindir" meaning "Sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the nation".
Following a recent change in its rates, the Turkish Post has affixed on the left a red imprint (with an advertising slogan ?) with a nominal value of 30 kuruş.
