Un grand merci Emanuel pour cette jolie lettre de Serbie, envoyée en recommandé le 22 avril 2014 de la ville de Bela Crkva :-)
Après le ski de fond et le ski alpin en 2010 pour les jeux olympiques d'hiver de Vancouver, la poste serbe a émis, le 7 février 2014, une nouvelle série de 2 timbres (saut à ski et patinage artistique) consacrée cette fois aux 22èmes jeux d'hiver organisés à Sotchi en Russie.
Ces 2 timbres, conçus par N. Skočajić, ont été émis chacun dans un feuillet composé de 8 timbres + 1 vignette centrale représentant le Iceberg Skating Palace à Sotchi pour le timbre "patinage artistique" et un sommet enneigé de Krasnaïa Poliana où avaient lieu les épreuves de neige lors de ces jeux, pour le timbre "saut à ski".

After cross-country skiing and alpine skiing in 2010 for the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, the Serbian Post has issued on February 7, 2014, a new set of two stamps (ski jumping and figure skating) this time devoted to the 22nd Winter Games held in Sochi, Russia.
These two stamps, designed by N. Skočajić, were each issued in a sheet consisting of 8 stamps + 1 central label depicting the Iceberg Skating Palace in Sochi for the "figure skating" stamp and a snowy summit of Krasnaya Polyana where took place the snow events during these games, for the "ski jumping" stamp.
Ces 2 timbres évoquent curieusement deux sports d'hiver, le patinage artistique féminin (22 dinars) et le saut à ski (46 dinars) dans lesquels aucun athlète serbe n'était engagé lors de ces jeux de Sotchi...
La délégation de Serbie à Sotchi était composée de seulement 9 athlètes (10 à Vancouver), 6 hommes et 3 femmes, engagés dans 5 disciplines : ski alpin, biathlon, bobsleigh, ski de fond et snowboard.
Comme à Vancouver, aucune médaille n'a été remportée par ce pays.
A noter qu'il s'agissait seulement de la 2ème fois que la Serbie participait à des jeux olympiques d'hiver, ayant concouru sous le nom de Serbie-et-Montenegro ou de Yougoslavie lors des jeux précédents.
Comme sur les timbres utilisés ci-dessus, ces timbres ont été émis avec des marges supérieures et inférieures incluant la mention "22èmes jeux olympiques d'hiver Sotchi 2014" en 4 langues (serbe, anglais, allemand et français) ou "Serbie" en serbe (caractères cyrilliques et latins).
These two stamps are curiously featuring two winter sports, women's figure skating (22 dinars) and ski jumping (46 dinars) in which no Serbian athlete was engaged at these Sochi Olympics...
The Delegation of Serbia in Sochi was composed of only 9 athletes (10 in Vancouver), 6 men and 3 women, who competed in five disciplines : alpine skiing, biathlon, bobsleigh, cross country skiing and snowboarding.
As it was the case in Vancouver, no medal was won by the country.
To note that it was only the 2nd time that Serbia participated at Winter Olympics, having competed under the name of Serbia and Montenegro or Yugoslavia in the previous editions.
As it's the case for the stamps used above, these stamps were issued with top and bottom margins including the words "22nd Winter Olympic Games Sochi 2014" in 4 languages (Serbian, English, German and French) or "Serbia" in Serbian (in Cyrillic and Latin characters).
