Monumental arches and gates (III) in Spain

Merci beaucoup Josep :-)
Les différentes portes monumentales à l'honneur ici donnent accès à plusieurs villes espagnoles entourées de murailles.
As it was the case in 2013 and 2014, the Spanish Post devoted its first issue of 2015 (on January 2 exactly), a booklet of 8 stamps, to monumental arches and gates located in different cities of the country.
This is actually a booklet of 8 self-adhesive stamps (domestic Permanent rate 'A' - currently € 0.42), 4 different stamps in 2 copies each (in 2013 and 2014, 8 different stamps were issued).
These four stamps were used to frank the letter below sent on October 9, 2015 from Barcelona. Thank you very much Josep :-)
The different monumental gates in the spotlight here provide access to several Spanish cities surrounded by walls.

The Puerta de la Luna, in Cordoba (Andalusia), is located in the western part of the walled enclosure, with a double entrance giving access to the Jewish quarter.
Cordoba, whose historic center is a World Heritage Site since 1994, conserves some ancient walls (dating from Roman, Muslim or Christian times).
The Puerta de la Cadena, in Brihuega (Province of Guadalajara), is one of the five gates which once allowed access to the city. The top of the arch is accompanied in particular with a plaque commemorating the attack on Brihuega by the troops of Felipe V in 1710, during the War of Spanish Succession.
The Puerta de Santa María, in Hondarribia-Fuenterrabía (Province of Gipuzkoa), was built in the 16th century following a fire that destroyed the old medieval city. This gate is topped by an arch bearing the coat of arms of the city (dating from 1694) and a sculpture of the Virgin of Guadalupe, patron saint of the city.
The Puerta de Sant Pere, in Peñíscola (Province of Castellon), is one of the three gates that gave access to the fortified parts of this coastal city. It was built in the 15th century under the orders of "Papa Luna" (1328-1423), Pope of Avignon under the name of Benedict XIII (his carved coat of arms is included on this gate).
