Tribute to Czech composer Jakub Jan Ryba in Czech Republic

Merci beaucoup Bret !
His "Czech Christmas Mass" ("Česká mše vánoční"), also known as "Hey, Master!" ("Hej, mistře!"), composed in 1796, is his best-known work, always played today during the Christmas period throughout Bohemia.
Its author, teacher and composer (late classicism and romanticism) Jakub Jan Ryba (1765-1815), is in the spotlight with a new Czech stamp, issued on October 14, 2015, to commemorate the 200th anniversary of his death and 250th anniversary of his birth.
Designed by Eva Hašková and engraved by Ĺubomír Žálec, that stamp (13 CZK) is included on the official FDC below (print run : 3,500) with a FDC cancellation from Přeštice (Ryba's signature), his hometown. Thank you very much Bret !

The engraving to the left on this envelope shows the small parish church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross situated in the village of Starý Rožmitál (where Jakub Jan Ryba was buried after his suicide), being part of the municipality of Rožmitál pod Třemšínem where Jakub Jan Ryba moved to teach music from 1788.
That stamp depicts a (fictitious) portrait of Ryba as well as an organ dating from 1750 which was probably used for the first performance of his famous Czech Christmas Mass.
Ryba composed nearly 1300 works, mostly religious.
I've already mentioned on this blog the 2nd stamp (12 CZK) above, top left, issued on March 19, 2008, being part of the series "Beauties of our country", devoted here to Ješted mountain and in particular to the building built in its top in 1973, consisting of a hotel and a TV broadcasting tower (94 meters high).

Thank you also Bret for this First Day sheet above, regarding that same stamp !
