350th anniversary of the company Saint-Gobain in France - a high tech stamp !

On October 14, 2015, Phil@poste has issued in preview sale a new stamp (€ 0.68, print run : 1 200 000) dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the founding of the company Saint-Gobain, a worldwide group today (over 180 000 people employed in some sixty countries) specialized in the distribution of materials, products for construction, innovative materials and sustainable habitat.
To celebrate the anniversary of this innovative company, that stamp (designed by the graphic studio "Les Designers Anonymes") was also innovative since the background was printed in offset with two layers of metallic silver ink containing aluminum pigments to enhance the chrome effect, a world first it seems for this kind of ink...
This technique seems different from the mirror effect obtained on the EUROPA stamp issued in 2010 in Andorra for example.

The objective of this innovation was to recall the appearance of a mirror since this company (originally called "Royal Mirror-Glass Factory") was founded in 1665 in Saint-Gobain (Aisne) by Colbert, Finance Minister of Louis XIV, to produce mirrors for the famous Hall of Mirrors at Versailles.
The former site in Saint-Gobain (gate and clock tower) is depicted on this stamp on the foreground, engraved by Elsa Catelin, the pavilion "color" being included in the background to the left.
This pavilion, as well as three others ("listen", "create", "look") designed by architect Bruno Tric from innovative and sustainable materials and focused on "future sensations", was exhibited in several cities in the world to celebrate this 350th anniversary.
A big thank you Joël for this nice First Day Cover from Paris regarding that stamp, with a cancellation (designed by "Les Designers Anonymes") also depicting one of these pavilions, "create".
To note the signatures by Elsa Catelin and a member of "Les Designers Anonymes" under the stamp !
That stamp was the 3rd one created by "Les Designers Anonymes" after "Théodore Deck" in 2013 and the EUROPA stamp in 2014 (harp).
