Avec Malte, la France, l'Ukraine, Monaco ou Saint-Marin, l'Espagne a mis en circulation cette année, le 5 mai 2019, un timbre consacré au 70ème anniversaire de la création du Conseil de l'Europe.
Ce timbre (1,40€, tirage : 180000) représente le Palais de l'Europe à Strasbourg, conçu par l'architecte français Henry Bernard et inauguré en 1977, le bâtiment principal du Conseil de l'Europe, avec à droite le logo officiel de ce 70ème anniversaire et l'emblème du Conseil de l'Europe.
Il y a 70 ans donc, le 5 mai 1949, 10 pays (Belgique, Danemark, France, Irlande, Italie, Luxembourg, Norvège, Pays-Bas, Royaume-Uni et Suède) signaient le traité de Londres instituant le Conseil de l'Europe.
Il est composé aujourd'hui de représentants de 47 pays européens (820 millions de citoyens) et a pour objectif la défense de la démocratie, des droits de l'homme, de l'identité et de la diversité culturelle de l'Europe ou la lutte contre les discriminations.
With Malta, France, Ukraine, Monaco or San Marino, Spain has put into circulation this year, on May 5, 2019, a stamp dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the creation of the Council of Europe.
This stamp (€ 1.40, print run: 180,000) represents the "Palais de l'Europe" in Strasbourg, designed by the French architect Henry Bernard and inaugurated in 1977, the main building of the Council of Europe, with on the right the official logo of this 70th anniversary and the emblem of the Council of Europe.
70 years ago, on May 5, 1949, ten countries (Belgium, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Netherlands, United Kingdom and Sweden) signed the Treaty of London establishing the Council of Europe.
It is now composed of representatives from 47 European countries (820 million citizens) and aims to defend democracy, human rights, cultural identity and diversity of Europe or fight against discrimination.
L'Espagne est devenue le 20ème état membre du Conseil de l'Europe le 24 novembre 1977.
Ce timbre a été utilisé pour affranchir la jolie lettre ci-dessus envoyée le 6 juin 2019 depuis la ville d'Alicante. Merci beaucoup Luis !

Ce timbre (1er Prix - catégorie général) reproduit une illustration par Paula López-Berges Núñez (de Ségovie) intitulée "Jeune fille sous la pluie avec lettre d'amour", représentant un personnage féminin évoquant le Petit Chaperon rouge et tenant une lettre dans ses mains.

The other self-adhesive stamp above (€ 0.60) is part of a series of two stamps, issued on February 5, 2019, reproducing drawings (general and youth categories) from the 5th Disello contest (free theme) organized in 2018 by the Spanish Post.
That stamp (1st Prize - general category) reproduces an illustration by Paula López-Berges Núñez (from Segovia) entitled "Girl in the rain with a love letter", showing a female figure reminiscent of Red Riding Hood with a letter in her hand.
