Timbre "Expo 2025 Osaka - Pavillon France" sur FDC de France
Après Dubaï en 2021-2022, la ville japonaise d'Osaka organise cette année, du 13 avril au 13 octobre 2025, l'exposition universelle, sur l'île artificielle de Yumeshima (environ 155 hectares).
Cette expo rassemble 160 pays autour du thème "Concevoir la société du futur, imaginer notre vie de demain". La France, dont l'histoire est marquée par les expositions universelles, est présente à ce rendez-vous mondial pour promouvoir l'audace et le savoir-faire français dans les domaines culturels, scientifique et économique.
La France propose au public, au sein de la zone "Inspirer des vies", un pavillon qui incarne un hymne à l'amour et une invitation à l'audace et à l'engagement.
Le 14 avril 2025 (vente générale), la poste française a mis en circulation un timbre consacré au pavillon de la France à cette Expo 2025 Osaka.
Ce timbre (2,10€, tirage : 660000), conçu par l'illustratrice et artiste japonaise basée à Paris, Yukiko Noritake (née en 1989), imprimé en feuille de 12 timbres, a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessous avec TAD Premier Jour de Paris du 11 avril 2025. Merci beaucoup Roland !
Following Dubai in 2021-2022, the Japanese city of Osaka is hosting the World Expo 2025 this year, from April 13 to October 13, 2025, on the artificial island of Yumeshima (approximately 155 hectares).
This expo brings together 160 countries around the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives". France, whose history is marked by these world exhibitions, is present at this global event to promote French audacity and expertise in the cultural, scientific, and economic fields.
In the "Empowering Lives" zone, France offers the public a pavilion that embodies a hymn to love and an invitation to boldness and commitment.
On April 14, 2025 (general sale), the French Post released a stamp dedicated to the French pavilion at this Expo 2025 Osaka.
This stamp (€2.10, print run: 660,000), designed by Paris-based Japanese illustrator and artist Yukiko Noritake (born in 1989), printed in a sheet of 12 stamps, was used on the cover below with First Day cancellation from Paris dated April 11, 2025. Thank you very much Roland!
Les architectes Coldefy & Associés et le CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati ont conçu ce pavillon France dédié à la présentation des innovations françaises comme un "Theatrum Naturae", présentant le paysage de la France dans le cadre d’'un parcours narratif en boucle, suggérant de nouvelles unions entre les humains et le monde naturel.
L'architecture du pavillon veut illustrer la façon dont le fossé peut être comblé entre la vie humaine et non humaine à travers la planète, en accueillant des habitats naturels et artificiels. Elle met pour cela en évidence les multiples écosystèmes de la France, en les intégrant au bâtiment et au parcours du visiteur.
Dans la culture japonaise, la légende du fil rouge (Akai Ito) fait allusion au raccordement de deux êtres par un fil magique invisible, indestructible attaché à leurs petits doigts. Le Pavillon de la France, avec son propre "fil rouge", offre une nouvelle vision de l'avenir, guidé par les formes différentes d'amour telles que "l'amour de vous-même", "En aimant d'autres" et "En aimant la nature".
Une dorure à chaud rouge est apposée sur le soleil rouge et un vernis sur les rubans rouges de ce timbre
et les contours de la feuille.
A noter que d'autres administrations postales ont aussi émis des timbres consacrés à cette Expo 2025 Osaka et/ou à leur pavillon national : Japon, Luxembourg, Monaco, République tchèque, Paraguay, Pologne, Saint-Marin, Tunisie, Nations Unies...
Architects Coldefy & Associés and CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati designed this French Pavilion, dedicated to showcasing French innovations as a "Theatrum Naturae", presenting the French landscape as part of a looping narrative journey, suggesting new unions between humans and the natural world.
The pavilion's architecture aims to illustrate how the gap between human and non-human life can be bridged across the planet by accommodating natural and artificial habitats. To this end, it highlights France's diverse ecosystems, integrating them into the building and the visitor's journey.
In Japanese culture, the legend of the Red Thread (Akai Ito) alludes to the connection of two beings by an invisible, indestructible magical thread attached to their little fingers. The French Pavilion, with its own "red thread", offers a new vision of the future, guided by different forms of love such as "loving yourself", "loving others" and "loving nature".
Red hot foil is applied to the red sun and varnish is applied to the red ribbons of this stamp
and the edges of the sheet.
