Timbre "La place d'Åland en mer Baltique" sur FDC d'Åland
La 34ème Conférence parlementaire de la mer Baltique (BSPC) s'est tenue à Mariehamn, capitale de l'archipel d'Åland, du 24 au 26 août 2025. Le thème de cette année était "La mer Baltique : notre source de vie".
Une soixantaine de parlementaires, représentant des parlements nationaux (Finlande, Allemagne, Pologne, Danemark, les 3 pays baltes, Norvège, Suède, Islande), régionaux (Åland, îles Féroé, Groenland...) et des organisations parlementaires, y ont participé, avec la présence du président finlandais Alexander Stubb (Åland est un territoire autonome au sein de la Finlande).
Cette 34ème conférence s'est articulée autour de quatre thèmes principaux : l'engagement des jeunes, la gestion durable de la mer Baltique, la protection des infrastructures critiques et la démocratie et la stabilité.
La Conférence parlementaire de la mer Baltique (BSPC) est le principal forum parlementaire de dialogue et de coopération dans la région de la mer Baltique. Depuis sa création en 1991, la BSPC réunit des parlementaires de toute la région afin de renforcer la stabilité, la gouvernance démocratique et le développement durable après la fin de la Guerre froide.
The 34th Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC) was held in Mariehamn, the capital of the Åland Islands, from August 24 to 26, 2025. This year's theme was "The Baltic Sea - Our Lifeline".
Approximately sixty parliamentarians, representing national parliaments (Finland, Germany, Poland, Denmark, the three Baltic States, Norway, Sweden, Iceland), regional parliaments (Åland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, etc.), and parliamentary organizations, participated, along with Finnish President Alexander Stubb (Åland is an autonomous territory within Finland).
This 34th conference focused on four main themes: youth engagement, sustainable management of the Baltic Sea, protection of critical infrastructure, and democracy and stability.
The Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC) is the leading parliamentary forum for dialogue and cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region. Since its establishment in 1991, the BSPC has brought together parliamentarians from across the region to strengthen stability, democratic governance, and sustainable development after the end of the Cold War.
La BSPC offre une plateforme unique aux parlements nationaux et
régionaux pour mener des débats ouverts, échanger des expériences et
formuler des recommandations communes. Ses travaux visent à promouvoir
la démocratie, l'état de droit, la sécurité, la protection de
l'environnement, la croissance économique et la cohésion sociale dans
l'une des régions les plus dynamiques d'Europe.
Le 25 août 2025, l'administration postale de
l'archipel d'Åland, situé
dans le golfe de
Botnie (entre la
Suède et la Finlande), a mis en circulation un timbre à l'occasion de cette 34ème Conférence parlementaire de la mer Baltique (BSPC).
Ce timbre (tarif "Europe" prioritaire jusqu'à 20g - 3,90€ actuellement, tirage : 30000), conçu par Johanna Finne et Bo Söderlund, imprimé (par Cartor Security Printers) en feuille de 2 x 15 timbres, figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus avec TAD de Mariehamn.
À travers une interprétation graphique et abstraite de la carte de la mer Baltique et des drapeaux des pays riverains, ce timbre met en valeur le rôle d'Åland dans la région.
The BSPC provides a unique platform for national and regional parliaments to engage in open debate, exchange experiences, and formulate joint recommendations. Its work focuses on promoting democracy, the rule of law, security, environmental protection, economic growth, and social cohesion in one of Europe’s most dynamic regions.
On August 25, 2025, the postal administration of the Åland Islands, located in the Gulf of Bothnia (between Sweden and Finland), issued a stamp to commemorate this 34th Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference.
This stamp (priority "Europe" rate up to 20g - currently €3.90, print run: 30,000), designed by Johanna Finne and Bo Söderlund, printed (by Cartor Security Printers) in sheet of 2 x 15 stamps, is featured on the official first day cover above with postmarks from Mariehamn.
Through a graphic and abstract interpretation of the Baltic Sea map and the flags of the Baltic Sea countries, the stamp highlights Åland's place in the Baltic Sea region.
