Bloc-feuillet "Michel Vaillant" sur FDC de France
Depuis près de 70 ans, Michel Vaillant, héros mythique du sport automobile, incarne la passion de la vitesse et le rêve automobile.
Né sous le crayon affûté de Jean Graton (1923-2021), scénariste et dessinateur de bande dessinée français, emblématique de la bande dessinée franco-belge, ce pilote intrépide à la mèche rebelle a laissé une trace indélébile aussi bien sur l'asphalte que dans l'univers de la bande dessinée.
Jean Graton crée en effet la bande dessinée Michel Vaillant dans le Journal de Tintin en 1957. La série, qui compte plus de 80 albums, est à l'origine de la vocation de pilotes de course et a inspiré deux séries télévisées (dont une animée) et un film de cinéma.
Dès la première case, le ton est donné : bolides aux lignes tendues, tension palpable sur la grille de départ, et dans le cockpit, un pilote concentré, regard fixe, prêt à jouer sa vie à chaque virage. Un bruit sourd résonne, la carrosserie bleue fend l'air, marquée d'un emblème tricolore.
En un instant, l'univers Vaillant prend de la vitesse. Fils du constructeur Henri Vaillant, Michel se distingue par son sens du devoir, son esprit de compétition et une intégrité à toute épreuve. Le 22 septembre 2025 (vente générale), la poste française a mis en circulation un joli bloc-feuillet (4 timbres à 2,10€ dont un de forme ronde, tirage : 330000) consacré à Michel Vaillant.
Ce bloc-feuillet figure sur la lettre ci-dessus avec TAD Premier Jour du 19 septembre 2025 du Mans (72 - Sarthe). Merci beaucoup Stéphane !
A noter que la prévente de ce bloc-feuillet avait également lieu à Paris et Angoulême, célèbre pour son festival de la bande dessinée.
L'image au centre (circuit de F1 de Monaco) provient de l'album "Champion du monde" publié en 1974.
La poste belge avait déjà émis en 2005 un timbre consacré à Michel Vaillant.
