Timbre commun "80ème anniversaire de la Ligue des États arabes" sur lettre des Émirats Arabes Unis
Pour rappel, la Ligue des États arabes (ou Ligue arabe) a été créée le 22 mars 1945 au Caire (Égypte) suite à l'indépendance des états arabes, qui étaient sous la
colonisation étrangère et est actuellement composée de 22 pays membres,
situés en Afrique du Nord et au
Moyen-Orient principalement (+ Somalie, Djibouti et Comores).
La Ligue des États arabes
et l'Organisation des Nations Unies ont la mission commune de
promouvoir la paix, la sécurité et la stabilité en prévenant les
conflits et en réglant les différends, dans un esprit de solidarité et
d'unité. Elles œuvrent ainsi de concert pour élargir les possibilités
économiques, promouvoir le respect des droits de l'homme et renforcer
l'inclusion politique dans le monde arabe.
Au cours de huit
décennies, la Ligue a enregistré des réalisations notables dans divers
domaines. Elle a joué un rôle majeur dans le soutien à la cause
palestinienne, considérée comme la cause centrale de la nation arabe.
Elle a œuvré pour l'intégration économique à travers des accords et des
projets communs.
A l'occasion du 80ème anniversaire de la Ligue des États arabes, son Secrétariat général a proposé aux pays membre l'émission d'un timbre basé sur un dessin commun.
As a reminder, the League of Arab States
(or Arab League) was established on March 22, 1945, in Cairo, Egypt,
following the independence of the Arab states, which were under foreign
colonization. It currently comprises 22 member countries, located
primarily in North Africa and the Middle East (+ Somalia, Djibouti, and
Comoros).
The League of Arab States shares a common mission
with the United Nations: promoting peace, security and stability by
preventing conflict, resolving disputes and acting in a spirit of
solidarity and unity. In doing so, the two organizations also work
together to expand economic opportunity, advance respect for human
rights and build political inclusion in the Arab world.
Over eight
decades, the League has made notable achievements in various fields. It
has played a major role in supporting the Palestinian cause, considered
the central cause of the Arab nation. It has worked for economic
integration through joint agreements and projects.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the League of Arab States, its General Secretariat proposed to member countries the issue of a joint stamp based on a common design.
Le 22 mars 2025 (date officielle), seules 3 administrations postales (Algérie, Tunisie,
Égypte) ont mis en circulation ce timbre commun incluant le logo de ce
80ème anniversaire (avec l'emblème de la Ligue arabe au centre) et le
siège de la Ligue des États arabes au Caire à droite.
3 autres administrations postales (Qatar, Soudan, Émirats Arabes Unis) ont émis également ce timbre, plus tard en 2025, le 18 août 2025 par exemple par la poste émirati avec l'émission d'un 2ème timbre reproduisant un autre logo de ce 80ème anniversaire, sur fond vert.
Ces 2 timbres se-tenant (3 AED), imprimés dans un feuillet composé de 6 timbres (3 paires), ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessus envoyée le 8 septembre 2025 depuis Dubaï. Merci beaucoup Mohamed !
A noter l'application sur cette enveloppe d'un cachet spécial mis en circulation à l'occasion du 28ème congrès de l'UPU organisé à Dubaï du 8 au 19 septembre 2025.
Mohammed a complété son affranchissement avec 2 timbres faisant partie
d'une série courante débutée en 2007, représentant un faucon stylisé, un
des symboles de ce pays. Ces 2 timbres (1 AED et 2 AED) ont été réémis le 29 décembre 2011.
On March 22, 2025 (official date), only three postal administrations (Algeria, Tunisia, and Egypt) issued this joint stamp featuring the 80th anniversary logo (with the emblem of the Arab League in the center) and the League of Arab States headquarters in Cairo on the right.
Three other postal administrations (Qatar, Sudan, and the United Arab Emirates) also issued this stamp later in 2025, for example on August 18, 2025 by the the UAE postal service with the issue of a second stamp featuring a different 80th anniversary logo on a green background.
These two se-tenant stamps (3 AED each), printed in a miniature sheet of six stamps (three pairs), have been used on the cover above, sent on September 8, 2025, from Dubai. Thank you very much, Mohamed!
Note the application to this envelope of a special cachet issued for the 28th UPU Congress held in Dubai from September 8 to 19, 2025.
Mohammed completed his postage with two stamps from a definitive series that began in 2007, depicting a stylized falcon, one of the symbols of this country. These two stamps (1 AED and 2 AED) were reissued on December 29, 2011.
