"Expo 2025 Osaka - Serbian Pavilion" stamp on cover from Serbia

Timbre "Expo 2025 Osaka - Pavillon Serbie" sur lettre de Serbie 

Après Dubaï en 2021-2022 et avant Riyad en 2030, la ville japonaise d'Osaka organisait cette année, du 13 avril au 13 octobre 2025, l'exposition universelle, sur l'île artificielle de Yumeshima (environ 155 hectares).
Cette expo rassemblait 161 pays autour du thème "Concevoir la société du futur, imaginer notre vie de demain". Ce thème se déclinait sous trois axes : sauver des vies, inspirer des vies et connecter des vies.
Le 5 septembre 2025, la poste serbe a mis en circulation un timbre (132 RSD, tirage : 15000, conception : Nadežda Skočajić) consacré à cette expo et en particulier au pavillon de la Serbie t sa façade végétalisée.
Ce timbre a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessous envoyée le 21 septembre 2025 depuis Novi Sad. Merci beaucoup Dusan!
Le concept du pavillon serbe, "Forêt flottante", s'inspirait d'une île naturelle unique (Île de la Grande Guerre) au cœur de Belgrade, où une forêt dense rencontre la silhouette de la ville au confluent du Danube et de la rivière Sava. 
Following Dubai in 2021-2022 and preceding Riyadh in 2030, the Japanese city of Osaka hosted the World Expo 2025 this year, from April 13 to October 13, 2025, on the artificial island of Yumeshima (approximately 155 hectares).
This Expo brought together 161 countries around the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives". This theme was divided into three aeras: saving lives, empowering lives and connecting lives.   
On September 5, 2025, the Serbian Post issued a stamp (132 RSD, print run: 15,000, design: Nadežda Skočajić) dedicated to this expo and, in particular, to the Serbian pavilion and its green facade.

The concept of the Serbian pavilion, "Floating Forest", was inspired by a unique natural island (Great War Island) in the heart of Belgrade, where a dense forest meets the city's silhouette at the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers.  

Ce contraste saisissant reflète l'identité de la Serbie : un pays où l'innovation urbaine coexiste avec une nature profondément enracinée et un riche patrimoine culturel. Des esprits scientifiques révolutionnaires aux exploits mondiaux dans le sport et les arts, tous réunis sous le thème "Société du jeu", ce pavillon fusionne harmonieusement tradition, créativité et durabilité.
Ce pavillon national de Serbie était le seul de l'Exposition universelle d'Osaka à arborer une façade végétale. Lors de sa conception et de sa construction, une attention particulière a été portée au développement durable : 95 % des matériaux utilisés sont recyclables et 80 % réutilisables. La conception dynamique du pavillon de la République de Serbie établit un lien original entre le thème de l'Exposition universelle d'Osaka 2025 – "Société 5.0" – et celui de l'Exposition universelle spécialisée de Belgrade 2027 – "Le jeu au service de l'humanité". 
Le pavillon serbe a été classé parmi les plus intéressants par les principaux portails japonais et internationaux, car il offrait aux visiteurs l'opportunité de découvrir l'importance du jeu dans tous les aspects de la vie à travers la musique, la danse, le sport, les sciences et les technologies. 
This striking contrast reflects Serbia's identity: a country where urban innovation coexists with deeply rooted nature and a rich cultural heritage. From revolutionary scientific minds to global achievements in sports and the arts, all brought together under the theme "Society of Play", this pavilion harmoniously blends tradition, creativity, and sustainability.
This Serbian national pavilion was the only one at the Osaka World Expo to feature a natural, green facade. During its design and construction, particular attention was paid to sustainable development: 95% of the materials used are recyclable and 80% reusable. The dynamic design of the Republic of Serbia's pavilion establishes a unique link between the theme of the Osaka 2025 World Expo – "Society 5.0" – with the theme of the Specialized World Exhibition Expo 2027 Belgrade – "Play for Humanity".
The Serbian pavilion was ranked among the most interesting by major Japanese and international portals, as it offered visitors the opportunity to discover the importance of play in all aspects of life through music, dance, sport, science and technology.
