Splendide bloc EUROPA de Norvège !

Amazing EUROPA sheet from Norway !

La poste norvégienne a eu l'excellente idée d'émettre à nouveau en 2002 des timbres dans le cadre des émissions thématiques EUROPA !
Le 12 juin 2009, elle a ainsi émis un splendide bloc-feuillet ayant pour thème "l'astronomie" ("Astronomi" en norvégien) en cette Année mondiale de l'astronomie.
Ce bloc composé de 2 timbres (10 et 12 NOK) figure sur la lettre ci-dessous postée le jour d'émission de la capitale Oslo (quartier de Grensen).

La mention EUROPA figure très discrètement sur chaque timbre ainsi que dans la marge inférieure gauche du bloc.
A noter également la mention "NOREG" ("Norvège" en nynorsk, l'un des 2 standards du norvégien pour l'écrit, avec le bokmål) sur ces 2 timbres.
The Norwegian Post had the excellent idea to issue again in 2002 some stamps as part of the EUROPA series !
On 12th of June 2009, a beautiful souvenir sheet devoted to "Astronomy" ("Astronomi" in Norwegian), in this International Year of Astronomy, has been issued.
This sheet, consisting of two stamps (NOK 10.00 and 12.00) is included on the cover below mailed on its date of issue from the capital Oslo (Grensen district).

The words EUROPA are very discreetly mentioned on each stamp and also in the lower left margin of the sheet.
It's worth also noting the words "NOREG" ("Norway" in nynorsk, one of the two official forms of written Norwegian, with bokmål) on these two stamps.

Ce bloc (tirage total : 225000 exemplaires), imprimé par le néerlandais Joh. Enschedé, montre une impressionnante éclipse de soleil en fond ainsi qu'une éruption solaire (timbre à 10 NOK) et une vue de la lune (timbre à 12 NOK).
La poste norvégienne a choisi ainsi d'évoquer notre système solaire en mentionnant les 8 planètes de la plus proche à la plus éloignée du soleil : Merkur (Mercure), Venus, Jorda (Terre), Mars, Jupiter, Saturn (Saturne), Uranus et Neptun (Neptune).
Leurs représentations dans la marge inférieure nous permet de comparer leurs tailles respectives et de visualiser celles possédant leurs propres satellites (toutes sauf Mercure et Venus).
Pour chaque planète, ce bloc mentionne également la période orbitale solaire en années (de 0,24 an pour Mercure à 165 ans pour Neptune !) ainsi que la distance la plus proche (périhélie) et la plus éloignée (aphélie) du Soleil (en millions de km).
Non seulement ce bloc-feuillet est splendide mais en plus il inclue de très intéressantes informations !
Pour moi, il n'y a pas photo, cette émission est la plus réussie (haut la main !) de la série EUROPA 2009 (avec les îles Féroé en 2ème position) !!!
This sheet (total print run : 225,000 copies), printed by the Dutch Joh. Enschedé, depicts an impressive solar eclipse in the background and a solar flare (NOK 10.00 stamp) and a view of the moon (NOK 12.00 stamp).
The Norwegian Post has thus chosen to evoke our solar system by mentioning the eight planets closest to farthest from the sun : Merkur (Mercury), Venus, Jorda (Earth), Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptun (Neptune).
Their depictions in the lower margin allow us to compare their respective sizes and to view those with their own satellites (all except Mercury and Venus).
For each planet, this sheet is also mentioning the solar orbital period in years (from 0.24 year for Mercury to 165 years for Neptune !) and their closest (perihelion) and farthest (aphelion) distances from the Sun (in million km).
The design of this souvenir sheet is not only amazing but it also includes some very interesting information !
As to me, this issue is undoubtedly the most successful from all the EUROPA 2009 stamps (with the Faroe Islands in 2nd place) !!!
