"UNESCO - World Heritage: Ibiza/Eivissa" miniature sheet on cover from Spain

Bloc-feuillet "UNESCO - Patrimoine mondial : Ibiza/Eivissa" sur lettre d'Espagne

Sauf erreur, 16 villes espagnoles (Tolède, Grenade, Alcalá de Henares, Ávila, Cáceres, Cordoue, Cuenca, Eivissa (Ibiza), Mérida, Salamanque, San Cristóbal de la Laguna, Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, Ségovie, Tarragone, Úbeda et Baeza) font aujourd'hui partie de la liste des "Ensembles urbains Patrimoine de l'humanité" ("Conjuntos Urbanos Patrimonio de la Humanidad") reconnus par l'UNESCO en raison de l'intérêt de leurs quartiers historiques et artistiques.
Parmi ces 16 villes, Ibiza (Eivissa en catalan), capitale de l'île du même nom faisant partie de l'archipel des Baléares, à l'honneur sur un splendide (et très grand : 220 x 170 mm !) bloc-feuillet, en partie gravé, émis le 15 juillet 2023 par la poste espagnole Correos.
C'est ce bloc-feuillet numéroté (tirage : 90000), composé d'un timbre (6,45€), qui figure sur l'enveloppe ci-dessous envoyée le 7 août 2023 depuis Madrid. Merci beaucoup Luis !
Pour information ou rappel, l'Espagne est le 4ème pays dans le monde ayant le plus de sites inscrits au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO (49 au total), derrière l'Italie, la Chine et l'Allemagne. 
Unless I am mistaken, 16 Spanish cities (Toledo, Granada, Alcalá de Henares, Ávila, Cáceres, Cordoba, Cuenca, Eivissa (Ibiza), Mérida, Salamanca, San Cristóbal de la Laguna, Santiago de Compostela, Segovia, Tarragona, Úbeda and Baeza) are included today on the Urban World Heritage Sites ("Conjuntos Urbanos Patrimonio de la Humanidad") list, recognised by UNESCO for the interest of their historic and artistic districts.
Among these 16 cities, Ibiza (Eivissa in Catalan), capital of the island of the same name which is part of the Balearic archipelago, in the spotlight on a splendid (and very large: 220 x 170 mm!) miniature sheet, partly engraved, issued on July 15, 2023 by the Spanish Post Correos.
It is this numbered miniature sheet (print run: 90,000), consisting of one stamp (€6.45), which was used on the envelope below sent on August 7, 2023 from Madrid. Thank you very much Luis!
For information or reminder, Spain is the 4th country in the world with the most UNESCO World Heritage sites (49 in total), behind Italy, China and Germany.

Le bien "Ibiza, biodiversité et culture" a été inscrit sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO en 1999, offrant un excellent exemple d'interaction entre les écosystèmes marins et côtiers.
La ville haute fortifiée (Alta Vila) d'Ibiza est un exemple exceptionnel d'architecture militaire du 16ème siècle. Le complexe est composé de sept bastions en pointe de flèche qui s'étendent sur un périmètre de 1800 mètres.
Les fortifications, intactes, sont un témoignage unique de l'architecture et du génie militaires et de l'esthétique de la Renaissance. Ce modèle italo-espagnol (projet de l'italien Giovani Battista Calvi) a exercé une très large influence, notamment sur la construction et les fortifications des villes du Nouveau Monde.
Parmi ses rues sinueuses de la ville, on peut voir les traces de toutes les cultures qui ont traversé l'île, depuis les premiers colons de la baie de la ville, en passant par les Phéniciens, les Carthaginois, les Romains et les Musulmans. 
Un vue spectaculaire de cette ville haute d'Ibiza depuis la mer, dominée par la cathédrale de la Vierge des Neiges (construite entre le 13ème et le 17ème siècle) est représentée sur ce bloc-feuillet. 
The property "Ibiza, Biodiversity and Culture" was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1999, providing an excellent example of interaction between marine and coastal ecosystems.
The fortified Upper Town (Alta Vila) of Ibiza is an outstanding example of 16th century military architecture. The complex is composed of seven arrowhead bastions that extend over a perimeter of 1800 meters.
The fortifications, intact, are a unique testimony to military architecture and engineering and Renaissance aesthetics. This Italian-Spanish model (project of the Italian Giovani Battista Calvi) had a very wide influence, particularly on the construction and fortifications of cities in the New World.
Among its winding city streets, one can see traces of every culture that has passed through the island, from the first settlers of the city's bay, through the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans and Muslims.
A spectacular view of this upper town of Ibiza from the sea, dominated by the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Snows (built between the 13th and 17th centuries) is represented on this miniature sheet.
