"Mother Teresa - Canonization and 25 years since her death" stamps on cover from the Order of Malta (SMOM)

Timbres "Mère Teresa - Canonisation et 25 ans de sa mort" sur lettre de l'Ordre de Malte (OSMM) 

Comme déjà évoqué sur ce blog, quelques administrations postales ont mis en circulation en 2016 des timbres consacrés à la canonisation de Mère Teresa : Cité du Vatican, Croatie, Albanie, Inde ou Kosovo. 
Le 17 octobre 2016, l'administration postale de l'Ordre Souverain Militaire de Malte (OSMM) a également mis en circulation un timbre sur ce thème, utilisé à droite sur la lettre ci-dessous avec TAD du 7 novembre 2024 (avec, comme de coutume, la mention "Poste Magistrali") du siège de l'institution à Rome.  
Ce timbre (3€, tirage : 8000), conçu à partir d'un dessin de Marcello Baldini (le directeur de la Poste Magistrali entre 1996 et 2021) comporte la mention "Canonisation - Mère Teresa de Calcutta - 4 septembre 2016" en surimpression.
Mère Teresa (1910-1997) est représentée sur ce timbre dans le célèbre sari blanc à liséré bleu des sœurs Missionnaires de la Charité, la congrégation religieuse catholique qu'elle a fondé à Calcutta en 1950, pour venir en aide aux plus pauvres et malades. 
As previously mentioned on this blog, several postal administrations issued stamps in 2016 commemorating the canonization of Mother Teresa: Vatican City, Croatia, Albania, India, and Kosovo.
On October 17, 2016, the postal administration of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta (SMOM) also issued a stamp on this theme, used on the right side of the cover below with a postmark dated November 7, 2024 (bearing, as usual, the mention "Poste Magistrali") from the institution's headquarters in Rome.
This stamp (€3.00, print run: 8,000), designed by Marcello Baldini (the director of the Poste Magistrali from 1996 to 2021), features the inscription "Canonization - Mother Teresa of Calcutta - September 4, 2016" as if it was overprinted.
Mother Teresa (1910-1997) is depicted on this stamp in the famous white sari with blue border of the Missionaries of Charity, the Catholic religious congregation she founded in Calcutta in 1950 to help the poorest and sickest.  

Pour rappel, Mère Teresa (Anjezë Gonxha Bojaxhiu de son vrai nom) est une religieuse catholique albanaise (née à Skopje dans une famille albanaise du Kosovo), ayant reçu le Prix Nobel de la Paix en 1979, béatifiée par le pape Jean-Paul II en 2003 avant cette canonisation le 4 septembre 2016 par le pape François.
L'autre timbre ci-dessus (1,25€, tirage : 15000, conception : M. Ventura), émis le 7 décembre 2022, commémore le 25ème anniversaire de la mort de Mère Teresa (Sainte Teresa de Calcutta). Il représente un portrait de Mère Teresa qui, de profil et vêtue de l'habit des Missionnaires de la Charité, pose la main sur l'épaule d'un enfant.
Ce timbre a été imprimé dans un feuillet de 4 timbres avec marge à droite mentionnant 3 phrases emblématiques prononcées par Mère Teresa : "Dédiez au moins une demi-heure par jour à la prière personnelle avec Dieu. La prière purifiera vos cœurs et vous donnera la lumière et les moyens de traiter chacun avec amour et respect", "La vie est le plus grand don de Dieu" et "Le plus grand péché est le manque d'amour et de charité, la terrible indifférence envers notre prochain qui gît au bord du chemin, victime de l'exploitation, de la corruption, de la pauvreté ou de la maladie".
As a reminder, Mother Teresa (Anjezë Gonxha Bojaxhiu is her real name) was a Roman Catholic religious sister (born in Skopje in an Albanian family from Kosovo), who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 and was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 2003, and then canonized on September 4, 2016, by Pope Francis.
The other stamp above (€1.25, print run: 15,000, design: M. Ventura), issued on December 7, 2022, commemorates the 25th anniversary of the death of Mother Teresa (Saint Teresa of Calcutta). It depicts a portrait of Mother Teresa in profile, wearing the habit of the Missionaries of Charity, with her hand on a child's shoulder.
This stamp was printed in a sheetlet of 4 stamps with a right margin, featuring 3 emblematic phrases spoken by Mother Teresa: "Dedicate at least half an hour a day to personal prayer with God. Prayer will purify your hearts and at the same time give you light and the means to treat anyone with love and respect", "Life is God’s greatest gift" and "The greatest evil is the lack of love and charity, the terrible indifference towards one's neighbour who lives at the roadside, the victim of exploitation, corruption, poverty, and disease".
