"Solitary bees" m/s from France

On May 20, 2016 (First Day of Issue), the French Post has released a stamp (€ 0.70) + a souvenir sheet (four € 0.70 stamps) devoted to different species of solitary bees, namely not living in colonies like honeybees, for example.
Designed by French author and illustrator Isabelle Simler (her first  stamps I think), this series was put on sale during the last Paris-Philex Stamp Exhibition but also in five other cities of France, where the same FDC cancellation was proposed (design : Sandy Coffinet).

The FDC cancellation from Paris has been applied to this letter, franked with the souvenir sheet (print run : 675,000) and stamp (print run : 1,000,020) constituting this series.
These solitary bees are about 1,000 species of wild bees in France, a third nesting in cavities (plant stems, wood, walls...), the other ones nesting in the ground. Pollinating flowers, they are an essential part of biodiversity.
The four species featured in this series belong to four different genus : Osmia, Colletidae, Anthophora and Megachile.
Like other bees, they are in great danger of extinction, due to the massive use of insecticides, fungicides and herbicides in crops and gardens.
