120th anniversary of the opening of Straka's Academy - new Czech FDC

120ème anniversaire de l'ouverture de l'Académie Straka - nouveau FDC tchèque

Le 8 mars 2017, la poste tchèque a mis en circulation un intéressant timbre (24 CZK) consacré au 120ème anniversaire de l'ouverture de l'Académie Straka ("Strakova akademie" en tchèque), siège actuel du gouvernement de la République Tchèque.
Ce timbre, imprimé en feuille de 50 timbres, a été conçu par Marina Richterová dont on reconnait le style. Marina Richterová a déjà conçu de splendides timbres tchèques (ou pour le Vatican) dans le passé, en particulier ceux consacrés à Mozart ou Kafka.
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir le FDC officiel ainsi que le feuillet commémoratif concernant ce timbre. Merci beaucoup Bret !
On March 8, 2017, the Czech Post has put into circulation an interesting stamp (24 CZK) dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the opening of Straka's Academy ("Strakova akademie" in Czech), the current seat of the government of the Czech Republic.
That stamp, printed in sheet of 50 stamps, was designed by Marina Richterová whose style is recognizable. Marina Richterová already designed some beautiful Czech stamps (also stamps for Vatican) in the past, especially those devoted to Mozart or Kafka.
I was lucky enough to receive the official FDC as well as the commemorative sheet regarding that stamp. Thank you very much Bret!

Ce FDC (tirage : 3400) comporte un TAD de Prague conçu à partir d'un motif de lampe située à l'intérieur de l'édifice alors que l'illustration à gauche montre la salle de conférence où les membres du gouvernement tchèque se réunissent (avec les armoiries du pays sur le mur du fond).
Ce majestueux bâtiment de style néo-baroque a été conçu par l'architecte Václav Roštlapil et construit entre 1891 et 1896. Il servit d'abord de résidence universitaire pour les enfants de familles tchèques nobles et désargentées, conformément aux vœux de son fondateur, le comte Jan Petr Straka.
Après la 2ème guerre mondiale, l'académie a été réquisitionnée par le gouvernement tchécoslovaque, et, depuis 1993, abrite le siège du gouvernement tchèque.
Ce bâtiment est entouré d'un vaste jardin incluant quelques statues comme celle représentée à gauche sur ce timbre.
This FDC (print run : 3,400) includes a postmark from Prague, designed from a motif of a pendant lamp inside the building, while the illustration on the left shows the conference room where members of the Czech government meet (with the coat of arms of the country on the wall in the back).
This majestic neo-baroque building was designed by the architect Václav Roštlapil and built between 1891 and 1896. It was first used as a university residence for the children of noble and destitute Czech families, in accordance with the wishes of its founder, Count Jan Petr Straka.
After the Second World War, the Academy was requisitioned by the Czechoslovak Government, and is since 1993 the seat of the Czech Government.
This building is surrounded by a large garden including some statues such as the one featured on the left on that stamp.
