Le 22 octobre 2018, le 29ème sultan ("Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia") de l'état de Kedah (nord-ouest de la péninsule malaise), Sallehuddin ibni al-Marhum Sultan Badlishah (né en 1942), a été officiellement installé.
Son règne avait toutefois débuté le 11 septembre 2017, après le décès de son demi-frère, Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah, sultan de Kedah entre 1958 et 2017.
Ce 22 octobre 2018, la poste malaisienne a mis en circulation une série de 3 timbres + 1 bloc-feuillet consacrée à l'installation de ce nouveau sultan.
On October 22, 2018, the 29th Sultan ("Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia") of the state of Kedah (northwestern Malay Peninsula), Sallehuddin ibni al-Marhum Sultan Badlishah (born in 1942), was officially installed.
His reign however started on September 11, 2017, after the death of his elder half brother, Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah, Sultan of Kedah between 1958 and 2017.
On October 22, 2018, the Malaysian Post issued a series of 3 stamps + 1 souvenir sheet dedicated to the installation of this new sultan.
Un grand merci Khor pour ces 2 jolis plis Premier Jour concernant cette série, avec TAD de Kelana Jaya (état de Selangor) représentant les armoiries de l'état de Kedah, incluant lui-même les armoiries du sultan (écusson, croissant et couronne de riz).
Le sultan Sallehuddin ibni al-Marhum Sultan Badlishah est représenté sur ces 3 timbres (60 sen chacun) dans différents costumes officiels - cérémonie, militaire, civil - avec également ses attributs royaux comme le kriss ou "poignard malais".
A big thank you Khor for these two nice First Day covers concerning this series, with cancellations from Kelana Jaya (state of Selangor) representing the coat of arms of the state of Kedah, including the coat of arms of the sultan (crest, crescent and crown of rice).
Sultan Sallehuddin ibni al-Marhum Sultan Badlishah is represented on these 3 stamps (60 sen each) in different official costumes - ceremonial, military, civilian - with also his royal attributes like the kriss or "Malay dagger".
Le sultan est représenté à gauche sur ces enveloppes avec son épouse, Sultanah Maliha Tengku Ariff (née en 1949, mariage en 1965), le couple étant également présent sur le timbre (5 RM) du bloc-feuillet de cette série ci-dessus.
Le couple est représenté devant la salle du trône du palais royal "Istana", situé dans la capitale royale de l'état de Kedah, Anak Bukit (la capitale administrative étant Alor Setar).
La marge du bloc-feuillet à droite montre les coiffes d'apparat ("tengkolok") du sultan ainsi que différents types de kriss.
The sultan is depicted on the left on these envelopes with his wife, Sultanah Maliha Tengku Ariff (born in 1949, marriage in 1965), the couple also being present on the stamp (5 RM) of the souvenir sheet of this series above.
The couple is represented in front of the throne room of the royal palace "Istana", located in the royal capital of the state of Kedah, Anak Bukit (the administrative capital being Alor Setar).
The margin of the souvenir sheet on the right shows the sultan's "tengkolok" headdresses and various types of kriss.

On the back of these envelopes, the flag of the state of Kedah and a tengkolok are depicted, with in the center one of the stamps (1 RM) of the series (10 stamps) issued on July 18, 2011 dedicated to the various royal palaces of states located in the Malay Peninsula, the Kedah Royal Palace ("Istana Anak Bukit") here.
