In the context of the last "Salon Philatélique d'Automne" organized from 8 to 11 November 2018 in Paris, the French Post in Andorra has put into circulation a new stamp being part of a series (started in 2006 with a Ford T) dedicated to collection vehicles from the National Automobile Museum in Encamp (80 vehicles on display).
This new stamp (€ 1.90, prit run: 60,000), designed by Francesc Ribó and laid out by Stéphanie Ghinéa, is depicting a CX model of the French car brand Citroën.
This model was marketed in Europe between 1974 and 1991 and produced in 1.2 million copies.

That stamp is present on the First Day cover above, with postmarks designed by Joan Xandri.
This vehicle with its aerodynamic design marked its time, becoming in particular the official car of President Chirac at the beginning of his quinquennium in 1995.
A "prestige" variant of this car (armored and equipped with a satellite phone) was the first official car of the Principality of Andorra (hence the presence of the Andorran flag to the right of the hood).
The head of the government of Andorra was traveling in this vehicle, also used by French presidents and Co-Princes Valéry Giscard d'Estaing and François Mitterrand during their visits in the Principality in 1978 and 1986.
