Afin de célébrer les 50 ans de relations diplomatiques entre le Pakistan et Singapour, les administrations postales des 2 pays avaient mis en circulation, le 18 octobre 2016, une série commune de 2 timbres ayant pour thème les fleurs nationales, une fleur de jasmin blanc (Jasminum officinale), fleur nationale du Pakistan, et l'orchidée Vanda Miss Joaquim, fleur nationale de Singapour depuis 1981.
Ces 2 timbres se-tenant (8 Rs, tirage : 200000 chacun) figurent à droite sur la jolie lettre ci-dessous envoyée le 25 octobre 2018 depuis Islamabad, la capitale du pays. Merci beaucoup Abu !
To celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Singapore, postal administrations of the two countries put into circulation, on October 18, 2016, a joint series of 2 stamps devoted to the theme of national flowers, a white jasmine flower (Jasminum officinale), Pakistan's national flower, and the Vanda Miss Joaquim Orchid, Singapore's national flower since 1981.
These two se-tenant stamps (Rs 8, print run: 200,000 each) were used on the right on the beautiful letter below sent on October 25, 2018 from Islamabad, the capital of the country. Thank you very much Abu!
Le timbre à gauche (8 Rs, tirage : 500000), conçu par D. Adil Salahuddin, émis le 1er juillet 2013, fait partie de la série de la poste pakistanaise consacrée à différentes espèces d'oiseaux vivant dans le pays, un Bulbul à ventre rouge (Pycnonotus cafer) ici.
Le 4ème timbre ci-dessus (8 Rs, tirage : 200000), également conçu par D. Adil Salahuddin, a été émis le 23 décembre 2014 à l'occasion du 14ème jamboree national de scouts qui avait lieu dans la ville de Khairpur (sud-est du pays).
Des palmiers, l'emblème du mouvement scout (fleur de lys) ainsi qu'une colombe de la paix sont représentés sur ce timbre.
The stamp on the left (Rs 8, print run: 500,000), designed by D. Adil Salahuddin, issued on July 1, 2013, is part of the Pakistan Post series dedicated to different bird species living in the country, a red-vented bulbul (Pycnonotus cafer) here.
The 4th stamp above (Rs 8, print run: 200,000), also designed by D. Adil Salahuddin, was issued on December 23, 2014 on the occasion of the 14th National Scout Jamboree held in the city of Khairpur (south East of the country).
Palm trees, the emblem of the Scout movement (fleur-de-lis) and a dove of peace are featured on that stamp.
Abu a utilisé 3 autres timbres au verso de cette enveloppe dont celui à droite (2 Rs) faisant partie d'une série courante gravée (7 valeurs, conception : D. Adil Salahuddin, gravure : Abdul Munir) émise le 19 août 1998, consacrée à Muhammad Ali Jinnah (1876-1948), le fondateur et le premier gouverneur-général du nouvel état du Pakistan indépendant en 1947.
Il est donc considéré comme le Père de la nation ("Baba-e-Qaum") ou le Grand leader ("Quaid-e-Azam") et défendit toute sa vie les droits des musulmans minoritaires.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah est également représenté sur les 2 timbres identiques ci-dessus (8 Rs), émis le 1er juillet 2018 pour commémorer le 70ème anniversaire de la création de la Banque d'État du Pakistan ("State Bank of Pakistan"), la banque centrale du pays ayant son siège à Karachi, la capitale économique.
Ce timbre reproduit une photographie du 1er juillet 1948 lors du discours de Muhammad Ali Jinnah pour l'inauguration de cette banque (avec vue de l'édifice actuel de la Cour suprême du Pakistan à droite).
Abu used 3 other stamps on the back of this envelope including the one on the right (Rs 2) being part of a definitive engraved series (7 values, design: D. Adil Salahuddin, engraving: Abdul Munir) issued August 19, 1998, devoted to Muhammad Ali Jinnah (1876-1948), the founder and first governor general of the new state of independent Pakistan in 1947.
He is therefore considered as the Father of the nation ("Baba-e-Qaum") or the Great Leader ("Quaid-e-Azam") and defended all his life the rights of Muslim minorities.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah is also represented on the two identical stamps above (Rs 8), issued on July 1, 2018 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the State Bank of Pakistan, the central bank of the country with headquarters in Karachi, the economic capital.
That stamp reproduces a photograph of July 1, 1948 during the speech of Muhammad Ali Jinnah for the inauguration of this bank (with a view of the current building of the Supreme Court of Pakistan on the right).
