Poland-Israel joint stamp issue: Independence Anniversaries

Émission commune Pologne-Israël : anniversaires d'indépendance

Après 2 précédentes émissions communes en 1993 (50 ans du soulèvement du ghetto de Varsovie) et 2009 (Année de la Pologne en Israël - 200 ans de la mort de Berek Joselewicz), un nouveau timbre commun a été mis en circulation le 5 novembre 2018 par les administrations postales de Pologne et d'Israël, consacré à la fois au 70ème anniversaire de l'indépendance de l'état hébreu et au 100ème anniversaire de la reconquête de l'indépendance de la Pologne (après 123 ans de tutelle russe).
Un grand merci Grzegorz pour ce FDC officiel concernant la version polonaise de ce timbre commun, envoyé le 3 décembre 2018 depuis la ville de Łosice (centre-est du pays) !
Conçu par Ronen Goldberg, ce timbre (2,60 PLN) représente les drapeaux des 2 pays formant un papillon, avec des feux d'artifice et les nombres 70 et 100 dans le fond, les couleurs bleu, blanc et rouge évoquant les couleurs nationales.
After two previous joint issues in 1993 (50 years of the Warsaw ghetto uprising) and 2009 (Year of Poland in Israel - 200 years since the death of Berek Joselewicz), a new joint stamp was released on November 5, 2018 by the postal administrations of Poland and Israel, dedicated to both the 70th anniversary of the independence of the Hebrew state and the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence (after 123 years of Russian tutelage).
A big thanks Grzegorz for this official FDC regarding the Polish version of this joint stamp, sent on December 3, 2018 from the city of Łosice (center-east of the country)!
Designed by Ronen Goldberg, that stamp (2.60 PLN) represents the flags of the two countries forming a butterfly, with fireworks and the numbers 70 and 100 in the background, the colors blue, white and red evoking the national colors.

Comme pour la version israélienne, ce timbre a été imprimé en feuillet composé de 10 timbres et 5 tabs (comme celui ci-dessus) incluant le thème de cette émission commune (en hébreu, polonais et anglais).
A noter que le TAD Premier Jour de Varsovie ci-dessus est quasi identique à celui mis en circulation à Jérusalem (les drapeaux sont inversés).
Les 2 pays entretiennent de bonnes relations et une riche histoire commune, marquée par l'Holocauste qui a presque mis fin à la présence juive en Pologne.
Depuis que la Pologne a été libérée du communisme, elle constitue un ami proche d'Israël dans de nombreux domaines (culture, commerce, technologie, tourisme...).
Sur le plan politique, la Pologne manifeste régulièrement son soutien à Israël, récemment encore en s'abstenant lorsque les Nations Unies ont condamné la décision américaine de reconnaître Jérusalem comme la capitale d'Israël...
As for the Israeli version, that stamp has been printed in a sheetlet composed of 10 stamps and 5 tabs (such as the one above) including the theme of this joint issue (in Hebrew, Polish and English).
To note that the First Day cancellation from Warsaw above is almost identical to the one issued in Jerusalem (the flags are reversed).
The two countries have good relations and a rich shared history, marked by the Holocaust that has almost ended the Jewish presence in Poland.
Since Poland was liberated from communism, it has been a close friend of Israel in many fields (culture, commerce, technology, tourism ...).
On the political front, Poland has been steadily demonstrating support for Israel, most recently by abstaining when the United Nations condemned the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel ...
