"Months of the Year in Folk Tradition IV" minisheet on FDC from Moldova

In the Romanian and Moldovan popular tradition, the calendar has its own names for the months, which appear in certain contexts, for example on the ecclesiastical calendars produced by the Orthodox Church.
All these month names are of Latin origin, indicating that their use is prior to the Slavic period (around the 8th century), 6 having their names derived from the characteristics of the months, 5 being derived from the Latin names now used in the Gregorian calendar (however, each of them has a folk etymology and additional meaning) and 1 (December) taking its name from Saint Andrew.
After 2017 (January, February, March), 2018 (April, May, June) and 2019 (July, August, September), the Post of Moldova has put into circulation, on October 30, 2020, a fourth and last minisheet in this series entitled "Month of the Year in Popular Tradition" ("Lunile anului în tradiția populară").

Composed of 3 stamps (5.75 L each) dedicated to the months of October ("Brumărel"), November ("Brumar") and December ("Ningău") and a label, this minisheet (print run: 7,500 , design: Oleg Cojocari) is present on the splendid First Day cover above (print run: 300), with postmarks from Chișinău (MD-2012). Thank you very much Nicolae!
The months of October ("Brumărel" meaning "little frost") and November ("Brumar" meaning "frost") do not bring special events or traditions but they predict winter knocking at the door. If there is frost and the wind is blowing harder, it means that the coming winter will be mild. If it rains a little during these months, then the winter will be harsh ...
On St. Andrew's Day, celebrated on the last day of November, grains of wheat are planted in pots to see what the coming year will look like.
The month of December, called "Îndrea" (in reference to Saint Andrew) or "Ningău" (meaning "snow") is one of the richest months of the year in Christian celebrations, songs and good mood.
If it is cold during this month, then the coming year will be cold, if it snows, then it will rain during the next month of June ("Cireșar").

As part of this stamp issue, the Post of Moldova also put into circulation 3 attractive postcards (print run: 600 each, numbered from 21/2020 to 23/2020) reproducing original illustrations by Oleg Cojocari, different from those appearing on the stamps in this series.
Nicolae was kind enough to send me these 3 new cards transformed here into maxicards, illustrating the harvest of certain vegetables and grapes (October), the processing of corn cobs in a farm (November) and the games in the snow for children (December).
