"75th anniversary of the end of World War II" stamp set on FDC from Singapore

As part of World War II, the Battle of Singapore is a battle of the Asian theater when the Empire of Japan, immediately after conquering the rest of British Malaysia, invaded the stronghold of the Allied forces of Singapore.
The fighting lasted from January 31, 1942 to February 15, 1942 and the capture of Singapore was the last phase of the Battle of Malaysia, materializing the failure of Singapore's strategy to protect the interests of the British Empire in Eastern Asia ...
After the fall and surrender of the British military forces, the Japanese occupation of Singapore lasted until September 12, 1945 when the island state officially returned to British colonial rule during Operation Tiderace (the code name for the British plan to retake Singapore) following the official signing of the Instrument of Surrender at the Municipal Building, now known as City Hall.
