"100 years of the Order of the White Lion" postmark on cover from Czech Republic

TAD "100 ans de l'Ordre du Lion blanc" sur lettre de République tchèque

L'Ordre du Lion Blanc ("Řád Bílého lva"), créé par la loi du 10 avril 1920 et remis pour la première fois le 7 décembre 1922, est la plus haute distinction accordée par la Tchécoslovaquie puis la République tchèque, l'équivalent de la Légion d'honneur en France. 
Cet Ordre prestigieux (conception de la médaille : Michal Vitanovský), attribué par le Président de la République, est composé de cinq classes et peut être accordé à titre civil ou militaire et est ouvert aux étrangers.
Le grade suprême de l'Ordre du Lion Blanc, la classe I accompagnée d'une chaînette en or, ne peut être attribuée qu'à des chefs d'état. Parmi les dirigeants étrangers décorés : François Mitterrand, Jacques Chirac, Mikhaïl Gorbatchev, Helmut Kohl, Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan, Lech Wałęsa...
Le 7 décembre 2022, la poste tchèque a mis en circulation un TAD spécial consacré au 100ème anniversaire de cet Ordre du Lion Blanc. 
The Order of the White Lion ("Řád Bílého lva"), created by the law of April 10, 1920 and awarded for the first time on December 7, 1922, is the highest distinction awarded by Czechoslovakia and Czech Republic, the equivalent of the "Légion d'honneur" in France.
This prestigious Order (design of the medal: Michal Vitanovský), awarded by the President of the Republic, is composed of five classes and can be granted in civil or military terms and is open to foreigners.
The supreme grade of the Order of the White Lion, the first class accompanied by a gold neck chain may only be awarded to Heads of State. Among the foreign leaders having received this Order: François Mitterrand, Jacques Chirac, Mikhaïl Gorbachev, Helmut Kohl, Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan, Lech Wałęsa... 
On December 7, 2022, the Czech Post put into circulation a special postmark dedicated to the 100th anniversary of this Order of the White Lion.

Ce TAD, conçu par Adolf Absolon, a été appliqué par le bureau postal de Prague 012 (situé dans l'enceinte du château) sur la lettre ci-dessus. Merci beaucoup Slavek !
Ce TAD représente cette médaille, reprenant la croix nobiliaire de Bohême étoilée à cinq branches, or ou argent, émaillées de rouge, anglées d'une feuille de tilleul entre les branches, chargée du lion blanc, dressé et portant l'écusson à la croix double de Tchéquie.
Slavek a utilisé un timbre (tarif permanent "E" pour un envoi jusqu'à 50g vers l'Europe - 39 CZK actuellement) émis le 22 mai 2019, faisant partie de la très jolie série (2 timbres) intitulée "Château de Prague au fil des saisons" représentant une même vue (inhabituelle) du château de Prague, en été et en hiver. Inscrit au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO, ce site immense (70000 m²) abrite en particulier la cathédrale Saint-Guy ou l'église Saint-Georges dont les tours figurent sur ces 2 timbres, avec également la Tour noire à gauche, faisant partie des fortifications médiévales.

This postmark represents this medal, taking up the nobiliary cross of Bohemia starred with five branches, gold or silver, enamelled in red, angled with a linden leaf between the branches, charged with the white lion, erect and bearing the double cross' crest from Czechia.
Slavek used the stamp (permanent rate "E" for a shipment up to 50g to Europe - 39 CZK currently), issued on May 22, 2019, part of the very nice series (2 stamps) entitled "Prague Castle in the seasons of the year" representing the same (unusual) view of the Prague castle in summer and winter. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this huge castle (70,000 m²) houses in particular the Saint Vitus Cathedral or the St. George's Basilica whose towers are featured on these two stamps, with also the Black Tower on the left, being part of the medieval fortifications.
