A noter l'élégant TAD Premier Jour incluant une tête de cheval ainsi que le cachet manuel du bureau de poste de "Lim Ah Pin Road" à gauche, situé dans la zone urbaine de Hougang dans le nord-est du pays.
As it was the case in previous years, I'm happy to share with you the official FDC below issued by the Post of Singapore, devoted to the new Year of the Horse according to the Chinese lunar calendar.

To note the elegant FDC postmark including a horse's head as well as the hand round cancellation from the "Lim Ah Pin Road" post office to the left, located in the urban planning area of Hougang, in the northeast of the country.
La SingPost a à nouveau fait appel à Leo Teck Chong pour concevoir cette série de 3 timbres (ci-dessus) ainsi qu'un bloc-feuillet (2 timbres), ce dernier (imprimé en France par Cartor Security Printing) comportant un vernis transparent sensible aux UV ainsi que des images cachées visibles lorsqu'on l'incline...
L'année 2014 (à partir du 1er février) est donc sous le signe du cheval (le 7ème animal du cycle) associé à l'élément "bois". D'après l'astrologie chinoise, les caractéristiques de chaque signe révèlent la personnalité des personnes mais aussi leurs vies ou les évènements se produisant dans l'année.
Ainsi, le cheval de bois est amical, coopératif et très actif dans le domaine social...
Parmi les personnalités célèbres nées sous le signe du cheval : Chopin, Isaac Newton, Harrison Ford ou les empereurs chinois Kangxi et Yongzheng (dynastie Qing).

The year 2014 (from February 1) is thus under the sign of the horse (the 7th animal of the cycle) associated with the "wood" element. According to Chinese astrology, the traits of each sign shape the personality of people but also their lives or the events occurring in the year.
The wood horse is known to be friendly, cooperative and very active in social affairs...
Among the famous people born under the sign of the Horse : Chopin, Isaac Newton, Harrison Ford or Chinese emperors Kangxi and Yongzheng (Qing Dynasty).
