Exposition "Jeux olympiques de Tokyo 1940 1964 2020" - Nouvelle EMA tchèque

Du 4 mai au 30 septembre 2021, une exposition consacrée aux jeux olympiques à Tokyo est organisée dans le bâtiment historique du Musée national à Prague, en collaboration avec le Comité olympique tchèque et l'Institut historique militaire.
Cette exposition se concentre principalement sur les trois Jeux olympiques de Tokyo : ceux qui auraient dû avoir lieu en 1940, ceux qui ont eu lieu en 1964 et ceux de 2020 qui ont été, pour la première fois dans l'histoire, reportés et qui auront lieu à partir du 23 juillet 2021.
Pour rappel, Tokyo est ainsi la 5ème ville de l'histoire à ce jour à accueillir les jeux olympiques d'été pour la deuxième fois. 
A cette occasion, la poste tchèque a émis le 19 mai 2021, une nouvelle empreinte de machine à affranchir (EMA, appelée OVS en tchèque), rouge, mise en circulation par le bureau principal de Prague 1. 
From May 4 to September 30, 2021, an exhibition dedicated to the Olympic Games in Tokyo is organized in the historical building of the National Museum in Prague, in collaboration with the Czech Olympic Committee and the Military Historical Institute.
This exhibition focuses mainly on the three Olympic Games in Tokyo: those which should have taken place in 1940, those which took place in 1964 and those in 2020 which were, for the first time in history, postponed and which will have take place from July 23, 2021.
As a reminder, Tokyo is thus the 5th city in history to host the Summer Olympics for the second time.
On this occasion, the Czech Post issued on May 19, 2021, a new red meter cancellation (called OVS in Czech), put into circulation by the main post office of Prague 1.

 

Cette EMA (valeur 39 CZK ici pour un envoi en Europe jusqu'à 50g) a été appliquée sur la lettre ci-dessus. Merci beaucoup Slavek !
L'illustration à gauche sur cette EMA évoque le drapeau du Japon (disque rouge sur fond blanc) avec cette fleur de cerisier (sakura) et année 2020, avec les années 1940 et 1964 sur les côtés et mention Tokio en haut.
J'ignorais complètement que les jeux olympiques de 1940 devaient initialement avoir lieu à Tokyo avant d'être annulés à cause de la 2ème Guerre mondiale. Ces jeux furent réattribués à Helsinki dans un 2ème temps avant d'être définitivement annulés, comme ceux de 1944 (prévus à Londres).
A noter qu'aucun timbre ne sera étrangement émis cette année par la poste tchèque concernant ces jeux olympiques et paralympiques de Tokyo (ce qui fut pourtant le cas jusqu'aux jeux de Rio en 2016...).
A Tokyo, environ 115 athlètes tchèques sont engagés dans 22 sports différents (10 médailles remportées en 2016 dont une en or).

The illustration on the left on this cancellation evokes the flag of Japan (red disc on a white background) with this cherry blossom (sakura) and year 2020, with the years 1940 and 1964 on the sides and mention Tokio at the top.
I had no idea that the 1940 Olympics were originally supposed to be held in Tokyo before being canceled due to WWII. These games were reassigned to Helsinki in a second phase before being definitively canceled, like those of 1944 (planned in London).
To note that no stamp will curiously be issued this year by the Czech Post concerning these Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo (which was however the case until the Rio Games in 2016 ...).
In Tokyo, around 115 Czech athletes are engaged in 22 different sports (10 medals won in 2016, including one in gold).
