EUROPA 2021 (Endangered National Wildlife) stamp set on cover from Faroe Islands

Very happy to share with you this nice cover sent on February 24, 2022 from Tórshavn, the capital of this archipelago of the Faroe Islands (located in the North Atlantic Ocean), stamped with the EUROPA series issued on April 26, 2021, dedicated to the theme of endangered national wildlife. Thank you very much Roland!
These two stamps, designed from photographs by Thomas Vikre and Jógvan Hansen, were printed in France by Cartor Security Printing, each in a sheet of 20 gummed stamps as well as in a booklet of 6 self-adhesive stamps (4 stamps at 17 DKK, 2 stamps at 27 DKK).
These two stamps are dedicated to one of the emblematic birds of the Faroe Islands, the Atlantic puffin (Fratercula arctica), a vulnerable species that lives only in the North Atlantic, breeding today only locally on the isolated coasts of Northern Europe and Iceland.

Once present in numbers in the archipelago, the Atlantic puffin population began to decline from 1768 and the introduction of rats by humans. On the 7 main islands, the brown rat has completely exterminated ground-nesting birds such as the Atlantic puffin or the Manx shearwater.
This bird was also hunted by the local population, for food or for the feather trade.
Over the past 25 years, the Atlantic puffin, which lays only one egg at a time, has had to face another major challenge, the lack of food for its young, largely due to global warming.
It is estimated that there are now around 200,000 pairs of Atlantic puffins in the Faroe Islands, where this species is still not completely protected ...
To note that this same bird is featured on EUROPA stamps issued in 2021 by Norway and Jersey and that these two stamps have been designated the two most beautiful Faroese stamps issued in 2021.
