"Adolf Born - 95th birth anniversary" postmark on cover from Czech Republic

TAD "Adolf Born - 95ème anniversaire de la naissance" sur lettre de République tchèque 

Peintre, illustrateur, caricaturiste et réalisateur tchèque né le 12 juin 1930 et décédé le 22 mai 2016 à l'âge de 85 ans, Adolf Born, diplômé de l'École supérieure des Arts décoratifs de Prague, débute dès 1960 une œuvre graphique et cinématographique qui marquera les esprits tchécoslovaques puis tchèques.
Il suit les enseignements de l'illustrateur Antonín Pelc et se tourne, à la fin de ses études, vers la caricature. Il a illustré au total plus de 250 ouvrages et en particulier de nombreuses fables (Ivan Krylov, Ésope ou La Fontaine).
Il a collaboré pendant plus de 30 ans avec le scénariste Miloš Macourek pour créer en particulier la série populaire pour la télévision "Macha a Šebestovou" ("Max et Sally", deux enfants qui découvrent un téléphone magique), ainsi qu'une adaptation de Robinson Crusoé.
Czech painter, illustrator, caricaturist and film director (born on June 12, 1930) who died on May 22, 2016 at the age of 85, Adolf Born, a graduate of the Prague School of Decorative Arts, started in 1960 a graphic and cinematographic work that marked the Czechoslovakian then Czech spirits.
He followed the teachings of the illustrator Antonín Pelc and turns, at the end of his studies, towards the caricature.
He has illustrated more than 250 books and in particular many fables (Ivan Krylov, Aesop or La Fontaine).
He collaborated for more than 30 years with screenwriter Miloš Macourek to create in particular the popular television series "Macha a Šebestovou" ("Max and Sally", two children who discover a magic phone), as well as an adaptation of Robinson Crusoe.

Adol Born a créé une dizaine de timbres pour la poste tchèque entre 1993 et 2014. 
Le 12 juin 2025, la poste tchèque a mis en circulation un TAD spécial (sa célèbre moustache et sa signature) consacré au 95ème anniversaire (jour pour jour) de la naissance d'Adolf Born.
Ce TAD (conception : Jan Kavan) a été appliqué par le bureau de Prague 1 sur la lettre ci-dessus. Merci beaucoup Slavek ! 
Slavek a utilisé, entre autres, 2 timbres identiques (20 CZK), conçus par Adolf Born, émis le 26 juin 2013, consacré au 130ème anniversaire de la création des services bancaires postaux. Ce timbre montre une diligence postale tirée par une drôle de créature, mi-plante mi-cheval.
La caisse d'épargne postale royale et impériale fut créé 12 janvier 1883 suite à une collaboration entre le ministre du Commerce de l'époque, Felix von Pino-Friedenthal et le Chef de la Section Jiří Theodor Coch. L'objectif était alors d'utiliser des bureaux de poste comme des succursales de cette nouvelle caisse d'épargne postale. 
A noter que la poste tchèque avait émis le 20 janvier 2019, un timbre consacré à Adolf Born (son portrait + ses 2 personnages Max et Sally) dans le cadre de sa série consacrée à la tradition tchèque de la conception des timbres-poste.
Adolf Born designed about ten stamps for the Czech Post between 1993 and 2014.
On June 12, 2025, the Czech Post issued a special stamp (featuring his famous mustache and signature) commemorating the 95th anniversary (to the day) of Adolf Born's birth.
This postmark (designed by Jan Kavan) was applied by the Prague 1 post office to the cover above. Thank you very much, Slavek!
Slavek used, among others, two identical stamps (20 CZK) designed by Adolf Born, issued on June 26, 2013, commemorating the 130th anniversary of the establishment of the postal banking services. This stamp depicts a stagecoach pulled by a strange creature, half-plant, half-horse.
The Imperial and Royal Postal Savings Office was created on January 12, 1883 as a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Commerce of the time, Felix von Pino-Friedenthal and the Chief of section Jiří Theodor Coch. The aim was to use post offices as branches of this new postal savings office. 
It is worth noting that on January 20, 2019, the Czech Post issued a stamp dedicated to Adolf Born (his portrait with his two characters, Max et Sally) as part of its series celebrating the Czech tradition of postage stamp design.
