Timbres "Pionniers de la télévision et de l'aviation électrique" sur lettre de Slovénie

Le bloc-feuillet à droite (1,20€, tirage : 15000, conception : villa creativa), émis le 28 mars 2025, est consacré au Baron Anton Codelli (1875-1954) et à son brevet concernant un procédé pour la télévision électrique.
Connu principalement pour avoir introduit la première automobile à Ljubljana, il était en réalité un inventeur et ingénieur aux multiples talents. Outre ses inventions automobiles, il a construit la première liaison radio à ondes longues entre l'Afrique et l'Europe pour la société allemande de télécommunications Telefunken.
Il réalisa également deux films en Afrique et devint le premier producteur de cinéma slovène. Il conçut des inventions liées à la télévision et breveta un système de transmission d'images électromécanique-optique.
Titulaire de 31 brevets, il dessina un dirigeable géant et travailla sur de nombreux autres projets, notamment des hydrojets électrifiés, le cryptage mécanique, la mesure des distances, la détermination automatique de la position des navires et des aéronefs, une torpille aérienne et un véhicule blindé en forme de sphère d'acier. Il développa des pneumatiques à haute résistance mécanique, un détecteur de rayonnement électromagnétique, un téléphone à haute fréquence, une tondeuse à gazon autopropulsée et un bateau à moteur...

The souvenir sheet on the right (€1.20, print run: 15,000, design: villa creativa), issued on March 28, 2025, is dedicated to Baron Anton Codelli (1875-1954) and his patent for a process for electric television.
Known primarily for introducing the first automobile to Ljubljana, he was in fact a multi-talented inventor and engineer. In addition to his automotive inventions, he built the first longwave radio link between Africa and Europe for the German telecommunications company Telefunken.
He also produced two films in Africa and became Slovenia's first film producer. He developed inventions related to television and patented an electromechanical-optical image transmission system.
Holder of 31 patents, he designed a giant airship and worked on many other projects including electrically charged water jets, mechanical encryption, measurement of distances, automatic determination of the position of ships and aircraft, an aerial torpedo and an armoured vehicle in the shape of a steel sphere. He developed mechanically resistant tyres, an electromagnetic radiation detector, a high-frequency telephone, a self-propelled lawn mower and a motorboat...
Le timbre à gauche (2,81€, tirage : 25000, conception : Robert Žvokelj), émis le 22 novembre 2024, est consacré à un autre pionnier, plus contemporain, Ivo Boscarol (né en 1956), dans le domaine de l'aviation électrique.
Ivo Boscarol est, au niveau international, un constructeur de premier plan d'avions ultralégers et expérimentaux. Après des débuts dans l'aviation de loisir, il s'est consacré au développement et à la fabrication d'aéronefs remarquables par leurs performances techniques, leur sécurité, leur esthétique et leur respect de l'environnement.
Son approche visionnaire a intégré les technologies les plus avancées à une base classique, et ses unités de production à travers le monde ont constamment servi de laboratoires pour une nouvelle conception et une nouvelle philosophie du vol. Dans le monde de l'aviation, il est reconnu comme un pionnier de l'aviation électrique, ce qui lui a valu le titre de Légende vivante de l'aviation.
Il a créé en 1989 Pipistrel d.o.o, une société de production d'avions ultralégers, basée à Ajdovščina, et en particulier le Pipistrel Sinus, représenté sur le timbre.
The stamp on the left (€2.81, print run: 25,000, design: Robert Žvokelj), issued on November 22, 2024, is dedicated to another, more contemporary pioneer, Ivo Boscarol (born in 1956), in the field of electric aviation.
Ivo Boscarol is by international standards a top producer of ultralight and experimental aircraft. After a start in sports flying, he went into the development and manufacture of aircraft distinguished by the highest technical, safety, aesthetic and environmentally friendly properties.
His visionary approach integrated into the classic basis the most advanced technology, and his production units around the world have continuously been laboratories for the new concept and philosophy of flying. In the world of aviation he is known as a pioneer of electric aviation, for which he also received the title Living Legend of Aviation.
In 1989, he created Pipistrel d.o.o, an ultralight aircraft production company based in Ajdovščina, and in particular the Pipistrel Sinus, depicted on the stamp.
