Le 10 décembre 1948, les 58 états membres qui constituaient alors l'Assemblée générale des Nations Unies ont adopté la Déclaration universelle des droits de l'homme à Paris au Palais de Chaillot.
Ce document fondateur - traduit dans plus de 500 langues différentes - continue d'être aujourd'hui une source d'inspiration pour promouvoir l'exercice universel des droits de l'homme à travers le monde.
La Déclaration universelle des droits de l'homme (inspirée par la Déclaration des droits de l'homme et du citoyen de 1789 en France) a permis de fournir des normes pour divers accords et déclarations internationaux et est reflétée dans les constitutions et les lois de pays du monde entier.
Afin de célébrer le 70ème anniversaire de ce texte fondateur, la poste marocaine Barid Al-Maghrib a mis en circulation (en partenariat avec le Conseil National des Droits de l'Homme) le 20 décembre 2018, un timbre spécial (9 dirhams).
On December 10, 1948, the 58 member states that then constituted the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Paris at the Palais de Chaillot.
This founding document - translated into more than 500 different languages - continues to be a source of inspiration today to promote the universal exercise of human rights worldwide.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (inspired by the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen of 1789) has provided standards for various international agreements and declarations and is reflected in constitutions and laws of countries around the world.
In order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of this founding text, the Moroccan Post Barid Al-Maghrib has put into circulation (in partnership with the National Council of Human Rights) on December 20, 2018, a special stamp (9 dirhams).
Ce timbre, imprimé en France par Phil@poste, représente un globe terrestre (sur lequel figure le territoire marocain en rouge) ainsi que le logo des Nations Unies pour célébrer ce 70ème anniversaire et un ruban aux couleurs du drapeau du Maroc.

Très peu d'administrations postales ont également commémoré le 70ème anniversaire de cette Déclaration universelle des droits de l'homme en 2018 : France, Corée du sud, Nations Unies, Vatican, Jordanie (+ d'autres ?).
La poste marocaine avait déjà émis dans le passé des timbres dédiés à différentes thématiques liées à cette Déclaration universelle des droits de l'homme (1963, 1974, 1978, 1984, 1998 et 2008).
This stamp, printed in France by Phil@poste, represents a terrestrial globe (on which the Moroccan territory appears in red) as well as the logo of the United Nations to celebrate this 70th anniversary and a ribbon bearing the colors of the flag of Morocco.

Very few postal administrations also commemorated the 70th anniversary of this Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 2018: France, South Korea, United Nations, Vatican City, Jordan (+ other ones?).
The Moroccan Post had already issued in the past some stamps dedicated to various themes related to this Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1963, 1974, 1978, 1984, 1998 and 2008).
