Comme les 4 années précédentes, la poste croate n'a pas émis en 2019 de timbre spécifique pour annoncer la nouvelle année mais uniquement un timbre consacré à Noël ("Božić" en croate) décliné à la fois en version gommée (feuille de 20 timbres, tirage : 1000000) et en version autocollante (carnet de 10 timbres, tirage : 20000 carnets).
Deux versions autocollantes et une version gommée de ce timbre (tarif permanent "A" pour un envoi domestique jusqu'à 50g - 3,10 HRK actuellement, conception : Ivana Vučić et Tomislav-Jurica Kačunić), émis le 22 novembre 2019, ont été utilisées sur la jolie lettre ci-dessous, envoyée depuis la ville de Rijeka (date d'envoi non lisible). As in the previous 4 years, the Croatian Post did not issue in 2019 any specific stamp to announce the new year but only a stamp dedicated to Christmas ("Božić" in Croatian) declined both in gummed version (sheet of 20 stamps, print run: 1,000,000) and in a self-adhesive version (booklet of 10 stamps, print run: 20,000 booklets).
Two self-adhesive versions and one gummed version of this stamp (permanent rate "A" for a domestic shipment up to 50g - currently HRK 3.10, design: Ivana Vučić and Tomislav-Jurica Kačunić), issued on November 22, 2019, have been used on the nice letter below, sent from the city of Rijeka (date of sending not readable). La mention "Božić" a été imprimée (par AKD d.o.o. à Zagreb) avec une encre dorée spéciale.
Ce timbre évoque l'atmosphère de Noël en Croatie et à Zagreb en particulier, avec une vue de la façade de la cathédrale de Zagreb dans le fond jaune et un arbre de Noël et une colonne surmontée d'une statue d'ange au 1er plan.
Cette colonne a été érigée à côté de la cathédrale par Hermann Bollé (1845-1926), un architecte autrichien qui a travaillé principalement en Croatie.
Hermann Bollé a en particulier dirigé la reconstruction de la cathédrale (début de la construction au 11ème siècle) gravement endommagée par un violent tremblement de terre en 1880.
Bollé a en dessiné les deux flèches (108 mètres de haut) encadrant la façade de cet édifice, l'un des repères urbains les plus représentatifs de la capitale croate.
The word "Božić" is printed (by AKD d.o.o. in Zagreb) with a special golden ink.
This stamp evokes the Christmas atmosphere in Croatia and in Zagreb in particular, with a view of the facade of the Zagreb cathedral in the yellow background and a Christmas tree and a column surmounted by an angel statue in the foreground.
This column was erected next to the cathedral by Hermann Bollé (1845-1926), an Austrian architect who worked mainly in Croatia.
Hermann Bollé in particular led the reconstruction of the cathedral (construction began in the 11th century) badly damaged by a violent earthquake in 1880.
Bollé drew the two spires (108 meters high) framing the facade of this building, one of the most representative urban landmarks of the Croatian capital.
