"Mother Teresa (1910-1997)" stamp on FDC from Moldova

Après Louis Braille, Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi et Léonard de Vinci en 2019, la poste moldave a mis en circulation, le 13 octobre 2020, la 2ème partie d'une série intitulée "Personnalités qui ont changé l'histoire du monde" ("Personalități care au schimbat istoria lumii"), consacrée cette fois à Mère Teresa (110ème anniversaire de la naissance), le peintre Raphaël (500ème anniversaire de la mort), Ludwig van Beethoven (250ème anniversaire de la naissance) et Florence Nightingale (200ème anniversaire de la naissance).
Comme en 2019, ces 4 timbres, conçus par Vladimir Melnic, ont été imprimés chacun dans un feuillet composé de 8 timbres + 1 vignette.

After Louis Braille, Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi and Leonardo da Vinci in 2019, the Post of Moldova put into circulation, on October 13, 2020, the 2nd part of a series entitled "Personalities who changed world history" ("Personalități care au schimbat istoria lumii"), devoted this time to Mother Teresa (110th anniversary of the birth), painter Raphael (500th anniversary of the death), Ludwig van Beethoven (250th anniversary of the birth) and Florence Nightingale (200th anniversary of the birth).
As in 2019, these 4 stamps, designed by Vladimir Melnic, were each printed in a sheetlet consisting of 8 stamps + 1 label.
Thank you very much Nicolae for sending this official FDC (print run: 300) regarding the stamp dedicated to Mother Teresa (1.20 L, print run: 37600), with its associated postmark from Chișinău (MD-2012)! 

 

Mère Teresa (1910-1997), Anjezë Gonxha Bojaxhiu de son vrai nom, est une religieuse catholique albanaise (née à Skopje dans une famille albanaise du Kosovo) connue pour avoir fondé la communauté religieuse des Missionnaires de la Charité au service des plus pauvres (à Calcutta en particulier).
Mère Teresa à reçu le Prix Nobel de la Paix en 1979, a été béatifiée par le pape Jean-Paul II en 2003 avant une canonisation par le pape François au Vatican le 4 septembre 2016.
J'aime beaucoup l'illustration sur cette enveloppe (également conçue par Vladimir Melnic) montrant le visage bienveillant et souriant de Mère Teresa avec de nombreux visages d'enfants dans le fond, son œuvre auprès des plus démunis ayant commencé à Calcutta par l'éducation des enfants des rues. 

Mother Teresa (1910-1997), Anjezë Gonxha Bojaxhiu of her real name, is an Albanian Catholic nun (born in Skopje in an Albanian family from Kosovo) known for having founded the religious community of the Missionaries of Charity in the service of the poorest (in Kolkata in particular).

Mother Teresa received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 2003 before a canonization by Pope Francis in the Vatican on September 4, 2016.

I really love the illustration on this envelope (also designed by Vladimir Melnic) showing the benevolent and smiling face of Mother Teresa with many children's faces in the background, her work with the needy having started in Kolkata with the education of children living in the streets.

 

Nicolae a complété son affranchissement, pour atteindre le tarif en vigueur pour un envoi prioritaire de moins de 20g vers la France (11 L actuellement) avec 2 autres timbres au verso de cette enveloppe ci-dessus. 
Le timbre à droite (50 roubles puis 0,50 L à partir du 15 décembre 1995) fait partie de la 2ème série de 4 timbres émise le 25 juillet 1993, représentant un même motif d'avion supersonique, avec des couleurs différentes.
L'autre timbre (9,50 L) fait partie d'une jolie série "Trésors du passé" (4 timbres) émise le 18 mai 2017, consacrée à différents objets en or et argent conservés dans le musée national d'histoire à Chișinău. Ce timbre montre une fibule de type "Monstruoso" (en argent doré) découverte en 1976 dans la région de Hansca (raion de Ialoveni), datant du du 3ème ou 4ème siècle (culture pré-slave de Tcherniakhov).
Ces 4 timbres ont été imprimés chacun en feuillet composé de 8 timbres + 1 vignette centrale représentant la façade de ce musée (comme l'exemple ci-dessus). 

Nicolae completed his postage, to reach the postal rate for a priority shipment (up to 20g) to France (11 L currently) with 2 other stamps on the back of this envelope above.

The stamp on the right (50 rubles then 0.50 L from December 15, 1995) is part of the 2nd series of 4 stamps issued on July 25, 1993, representing the same supersonic aircraft, with different colors.

The other stamp (9.50 L) is part of a nice series "Treasures of the past" (4 stamps) issued on May 18, 2017, dedicated to various gold and silver objects preserved in the National Museum of History in Chişinău. This stamp depicts a "Monstruoso" type's fibula (golden silver) discovered in 1976 in the region of Hansca (Ialoveni district), dating from the 3rd or 4th century (pre-Slavic culture of Cherniakhov).

These 4 stamps were each printed in a sheetlet made up of 8 stamps + 1 central label featuring the facade of this museum (like the example above).
