En 2020, de nombreuses administrations postales ont émis ou vont émettre des timbres consacrés au 75ème anniversaire de la création des Nations Unies : Kirghizstan, Slovaquie, Russie, Moldavie, Belarus, Administration postale des Nations Unies, Belgique, Kazakhstan, Allemagne, Luxembourg, Autriche, Portugal, Turquie, Slovénie, Tunisie, Italie, Serbie, Myanmar, Pologne, Pakistan, Oman, Liban, Irak, Émirats Arabes Unis, Singapour, Inde, Azerbaïdjan, Monaco, Monténégro...
Pour rappel, 51 pays ont fondé l'Organisation des Nations Unies en 1945 suite à la ratification de la Charte des Nations Unies à San Francisco le le 24 octobre 1945.
L'Autriche est membre de cette organisation depuis le 14 décembre 1955 et l'administration postale de ce pays a mis en circulation, le 24 octobre 2020, un timbre (1,80€) illustrant cette thématique.

In 2020, many postal administrations have issued or will issue stamps dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the creation of the United Nations: Kyrgyzstan, Slovakia, Russia, Moldova, Belarus, United Nations Postal Administration, Belgium, Kazakhstan, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Portugal, Turkey, Slovenia, Tunisia, Italia, Serbia, Myanmar, Poland, Pakistan, Oman, Lebanon, Iraq, UAE, Singapore, India, Azerbaijan, Monaco, Montenegro...
As a reminder, 51 countries founded the United Nations in 1945 following the ratification of the United Nations Charter in San Francisco on October 24, 1945. 
Austria has been a member of this organization since December 14, 1955 and the postal administration of this country put into circulation, on October 24, 2020, a stamp (€ 1.80) illustrating this theme.

Comme pour les administrations postales d'Allemagne et d'Azerbaïdjan, la poste autrichienne n'a curieusement pas reproduit sur son timbre le logo officiel de ce 75ème anniversaire des Nations Unies (emblème des Nations Unies, mention "UN75", avec slogan associé "Façonnons notre avenir ensemble")...
L'emblème des Nations Unies est toutefois bien présent sur le timbre et le TAD Premier Jour, la couleur de fond du timbre faisant également référence à celle du drapeau de l'institution.
Les principaux objectifs des Nations Unies (193 membres actuellement) sont le maintien de la paix et de la sécurité mondiales, le développement de relations amicales entre les nations, la coopération internationale pour résoudre les problèmes mondiaux et la promotion des droits de l'homme, et la coordination des efforts des nations pour atteindre ces objectifs communs.
Le siège des Nations Unies est situé à New York, les autres bureaux sont à Genève, Nairobi et Vienne. Le motif de ce timbre autrichien évoque la forme de ce "Centre international de Vienne", mieux connu sous le nom de "UNO-City", vu d'en haut à Vienne-Donaustadt. Ce bâtiment remarquable a été construit selon les plans de l'architecte autrichien Johann Staber et inauguré en 1979.
L'Autriche a été membre non permanent du Conseil de Sécurité des Nations Unies à 3 reprises (en 2009-2010 pour la plus récente) et le pays postule pour en être à nouveau membre en 2026.
As for the postal administrations of Germany and Azerbaijan, the Austrian Post has curiously not reproduced on its stamp the official logo of this 75th anniversary of the United Nations (United Nations emblem, mention "UN75", with associated slogan "Shaping our future together")...
The United Nations emblem is however present on the stamp and the First Day cancellation, the background color of the stamp also referring to that of the flag of the institution.
The main objectives of the United Nations (currently 193 members) are the maintenance of world peace and security, the development of friendly relations among nations, international cooperation in solving world problems and the promotion of human rights, and coordinating the efforts of nations to achieve these common goals.
The headquarters of the United Nations are located in New York, the other offices are in Geneva, Nairobi and Vienna.
The motif of this Austrian stamp evokes the shape of this "Vienna International Center", better known as "UNO-City", seen from above in Vienna-Donaustadt. This remarkable building was built according to the plans of Austrian architect Johann Staber and opened in 1979.
Austria has been a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council 3 times (in 2009-2010 for the most recent) and the country is applying to be a member again in 2026.
