"Marina Bay's skyline", country's longest stamp, on FDC from Singapore

Le 1er avril 2017, la poste thaïlandaise mettait en circulation le plus long timbre jamais émis dans le monde (170 mm) pour commémorer les 70 ans de règne du défunt roi Rama IX.
Le 15 octobre 2020, la poste de Singapour a émis le plus long timbre de son histoire (163,2 mm), et probablement le 2ème plus long après ce timbre thaïlandais, dans une série (2 timbres) consacrée à la célèbre skyline de Marina Bay (sud de l'île principale), symbole international du dynamisme de ce petit pays d'Asie du sud-est.
Un grand merci Terence pour ce splendide FDC officiel concernant ces 2 timbres (conception : Sonny Lee), avec ce curieux TAD du General Post Office daté du 14 octobre 2020 appliqué en haut à gauche...
Ce quartier ultramoderne de Marina Bay (dont la construction a débuté dans les années 1970), situé à l'embouchure de la rivière Singapour, abrite aujourd'hui quelques-uns des édifices les plus connus du pays, symboles de son essor économique et de son offre touristique, de loisir ou financière de premier plan dans cette région du monde. 
On April 1, 2017, the Thai Post put into circulation the longest stamp ever issued in the world (170 mm) to commemorate the 70 years of reign of the late King Rama IX.
On October 15, 2020, Singapore Post issued the longest stamp in its history (163.2 mm), and probably the 2nd longest after this Thai stamp, in a series (2 stamps) dedicated to the famous Marina  Bay's Skyline (south of the main island), international symbol of the dynamism of this small Southeast Asian country.

This ultramodern district of Marina Bay (whose construction began in the 1970s), located at the mouth of the Singapore River, is today home to some of the country's best-known buildings, symbols of its economic boom and its leading tourist, leisure or financial offer in this region of the world.

 

Ce très long timbre (2 $) représente de gauche à droite (entre autres) : "Gardens by the Bay", les 3 tours du "Sands Expo® & Convention Centre" (un complexe hôtelier abritant également un casino et un musée), le ArtScience Museum, les gratte-ciels du centre d'affaire, l'hôtel Fullerton (ouvert en 2001 dans un bâtiment inauguré en 1928 qui abrita en particulier un bureau de poste principal dans le passé) et le "Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay".
L'autre timbre (1,40 $) montre l'un des plus longs immeubles d'appartements publics de Singapour, le bloc 34 situé à Whampoa West. Construit en 1971, ce bâtiment résidentiel est célèbre pour son couloir de 320 mètres de long, avec 46 appartements à chaque étage.
Cet immeuble est le symbole des réalisations du Housing and Development Board (HDB), une organisme qui gère la construction de logements sociaux à Singapour. Les immeubles d'appartements HDB et leurs conceptions suivent également les progrès de Singapour au fil des ans, ayant permis l'éradication des bidonvilles et logements insalubres dans les années 1960.
Sauf erreur de ma part, le plus long timbre jamais émis en France est le timbre "Obélix" (100 mm seulement !) émis dans le bloc-feuillet de 2009 (50ème anniversaire d'Astérix). 

This very long stamp ($ 2.00) features from left to right (among others): "Gardens by the Bay", the 3 towers of the "Sands Expo® & Convention Center" (a hotel complex also housing a casino and a museum), the ArtScience Museum, the skyscrapers of the business center, the Fullerton Hotel (opened in 2001 in a building inaugurated in 1928 which housed in particular a main post office in the past) and the "Esplanade - Theaters on the Bay".

The other stamp ($ 1.40) shows one of Singapore's longest public housing apartment building, Block 34 located in Whampoa West. Built in 1971, the residential building is famous for its 320-metre long corridor, featuring a staggering 46 apartments on each floor.

This building is the symbol of the achievements of the Housing and Development Board (HDB), an organization that manages the construction of social housing in Singapore. HDB apartment buildings and their designs also track Singapore's progress over the years, leading to the eradication of slums and substandard housing in the 1960s.

Unless I am mistaken, the longest stamp ever issued in France is the "Obélix" stamp (100 mm only!) issued in the souvenir sheet of 2009 (50th anniversary of Asterix).
