"Yuri Nikulin - 100th birth anniversary" stamp on FDC from Kyrgyzstan (KEP)

Timbre "Yuri Nikulin - 100 ans de sa naissance" sur FDC du Kirghizstan (KEP)

Le 17 avril 2021, la Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), le 2ème opérateur postal désigné du Kirghizstan, a mis en circulation un timbre consacré au 100ème anniversaire de la naissance de l'acteur et artiste de cirque russe Yuri Nikulin (1921-1997).
Ce timbre (150 KGS, tirage : 4000), conçu à partir d'un portrait de l'artiste par Elena Zaïka vers la fin de sa vie et imprimé en Moldavie par "Nova Imprim" en feuillet de 5 timbres + 1 vignette, figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous (tirage : 250), avec TAD de Bichkek. 
A noter le TAD Premier Jour reproduisant le dessin fait souvent par Nikulin lui-même, associé à sa signature.
Après avoir été engagé sur le front contre l'armée allemande pendant la 2ème guerre mondiale, Nikulin fut accepté dans le studio de formation de clowns au sein de Cirque de Moscou du boulevard Tsvetnoï. Il y travaillera pendant plus de 50 ans, passant de simple clown à directeur du cirque (entre 1982 et 1997) qui portera son nom pour devenir le Cirque Nikulin de Moscou.
On April 17, 2021, the Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), the 2nd designated postal operator of Kyrgyzstan, put into circulation a stamp dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Russian actor and circus artist Yuri Nikulin (1921-1997).
This stamp (150 KGS, print run: 4,000), designed from a portrait of the artist by Elena Zaïka towards the end of his life and printed in Moldova by "Nova Imprim" in sheetlet of 5 stamps + 1 label, is present on the official FDC below (print run: 250), with postmark from Bishkek. 
To note the First Day cancellation reproducing the drawing often made by Nikulin himself, associated with his signature.
After having been engaged on the front against the German army during WWII, Nikulin was accepted into the clown training studio within the Moscow Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard. He worked there for more than 50 years, going from a simple clown to director of the circus (between 1982 and 1997) which would bear his name to become the Moscow Nikulin Circus.

 

À l'étranger, on perçoit Nikulin comme un "clown cérébral", en comparant son détachement mélancolique caractéristique à celui de Buster Keaton, arborant peu de maquillage, seuls ses yeux sont soulignés de noir et le nez à peine rougi.
Yuri Nikulin est également célèbre pour ses œuvres remarquables au cinéma. Il s'est pleinement révélé non seulement comme un maître inégalé du genre comique, mais aussi comme un formidable acteur dramatique, jouant dans des films réalisés par de grands cinéastes.
Un timbre consacré à Yuri Nikulin avait déjà été émis en Russie en 2001 et la Principauté de Monaco a mis également en circulation cette année un bloc-feuillet en son honneur, en référence à ses nombreuses apparitions lors du Festival international du cirque de Monte-Carlo. 

Abroad, Nikulin is seen as a "cerebral clown", comparing his characteristic melancholy detachment to that of Buster Keaton, wearing little makeup, only his eyes are outlined in black and his nose barely reddened.

Yuri Nikulin is also famous for his remarkable works in cinema. He fully revealed himself not only as an unrivaled master of the comedy genre, but also as a formidable dramatic actor, starring in movies made by great filmmakers.

A stamp dedicated to Yuri Nikulin had already been issued in Russia in 2001 and the Principality of Monaco also put into circulation this year a souvenir sheet in his honor, in reference to his numerous appearances at the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival.
