"Salyut Space Station - 50th anniversary" stamp on FDC from Kyrgyzstan (KEP)

Le programme spatial soviétique Salyut a débuté en 1971 avec la construction et la mise en orbite de "Salyut 1", la première station spatiale jamais mise en orbite.
En plein cœur de la guerre froide, les soviétiques et les américains luttaient dans une course effrénée pour la conquête de l'espace. Pour répondre au programme "Salyut", les américains avaient ainsi développé leur propre station spatiale, "Skylab". 
Le 19 avril 1971, "Salyut 1" est placée en orbite par une fusée Proton-K, 2 ans avant la station Skylab développée par la NASA. Deux expéditions impliquant la participation de cosmonautes ont été envoyées dans cette station, la 1ère échouant lors de l'amarrage, le 2ème permis aux cosmonautes Gueorgui Dobrovolski, Viktor Patsaïev et Vladislav Volkov de travailler en orbite terrestre pendant environ 23 jours.
Malheureusement, l'équipage est décédé lors de son retour sur Terre en raison de la dépressurisation du "Soyouz-11". "Salyut 1" a fonctionné en orbite terrestre pendant 176 jours et, le 11 octobre 1971, la station est sortie de son orbite et s'est désintégrée dans l'atmosphère.
The Soviet Salyut space program began in 1971 with the construction and orbiting of "Salyut 1", the first space station ever to be put into orbit.
In the midst of the Cold War, the Soviets and Americans fought in a frenzied race for space. To respond to the "Salyut" program, the Americans had thus developed their own space station, "Skylab".
On April 19, 1971, "Salyut 1" was placed in orbit by a Proton-K rocket, two years before the Skylab station developed by the NASA. Two expeditions involving the participation of cosmonauts were sent to this station, the first one failing during docking, the 2nd one allowing cosmonauts Georgy Dobrovolsky, Viktor Patsayev and Vladislav Volkov to work in Earth orbit for about 23 days.
Unfortunately, the crew died on their return to Earth due to the depressurization of "Soyuz-11". "Salyut 1" operated in Earth orbit for 176 days, and on October 11, 1971, the station rose from orbit and disintegrated in the atmosphere.

 

7 stations orbitales "Salyut" furent lancées jusqu'en 1982, la dernière restant en orbite jusqu'en 1991.
A noter que la poste d'URSS a émis régulièrement des timbres pour rendre hommage aux équipages envoyés dans ces stations orbitales "Salyut".
Le programme a par la suite été remplacé par la station spatiale MIR en 1986 et a grandement contribué au développement ultérieur de la Station spatiale Internationale.
Le 8 juin 2021, la Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), le 2ème opérateur postal désigné du Kirghizstan, a mis en circulation un timbre consacré au 50ème anniversaire du lancement de cette 1ère station spatiale soviétique "Salyut".
Ce timbre (175 KGS, tirage : 5000), conçu par Daria Maier et imprimée en Moldavie par "Nova Imprim", figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus (tirage : 250), avec TAD de Bichkek. 
Seven "Salyut" orbital stations were launched until 1982, the last remaining in orbit until 1991.
To note that the USSR Post regularly issued stamps to pay tribute to the crews sent to these "Salyut" orbital stations.
The program was subsequently replaced by the MIR space station in 1986 and greatly contributed to the further development of the International Space Station.
On June 8, 2021, the Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), Kyrgyzstan's 2nd designated postal operator, put into circulation a stamp dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the launch of this first Soviet space station "Salyut".
This stamp (175 KGS, print run: 5,000), designed by Daria Maier and printed in Moldova by "Nova Imprim", is present on the official FDC below (print run: 250), with cancellations from Bishkek. 

 

 

Ce joli timbre, représentant cette station en orbite, a été imprimé dans le joli bloc-feuillet composé de 5 timbres + 1 vignette ci-dessus. 
La Kyrgyz Express Post a également mis en circulation le même jour la jolie carte-maximum ci-dessous (MC-82, tirage : 300) concernant ce timbre.
De nombreuses administrations postales de pays d'Europe de l'est de l'époque (Pologne, Bulgarie, Allemagne de l'Est, Hongrie, Tchécoslovaquie...) ont aussi émis des timbres concernant ce programme spatial Salyut.

This pretty stamp, representing this station in orbit, was printed in the nice souvenir sheet composed of 5 stamps + 1 label above.

The Kyrgyz Express Post also put into circulation on the same day the attractive maxicard below (MC-82, print run: 300) regarding this stamp.

Many postal administrations in Eastern European countries at the time (Poland, Bulgaria, East Germany, Hungary, Czechoslovakia ...) also issued stamps concerning this Salyut space program.
