"National Day Parade 2023" stamp set on FDCs from Singapore

Série "Défilé de la Fête Nationale 2023" sur FDCs de Singapour

Le défilé de la Fête Nationale ("National Day Parade" - NDP) est une cérémonie très importante à Singapour, organisée le jour de la Fête Nationale le 9 août afin de commémorer le jour de l'indépendance du pays (le 9 août 1965).
Le premier défilé de la Fête Nationale a eu lieu en 1966 sur le Padang, situé dans le Downtown Core, le cœur économique du pays.
Afin de célébrer le 58ème anniversaire de l'indépendance, la SingPost a mis en circulation, le 8 août 2023, une intéressante série (5 timbres + 1 bloc-feuillet) consacrée à ce défilé de la Fête Nationale, organisée à nouveau cette année sur le Padang.
Un grand merci Terence pour ces 2 splendides FDCs officiels concernant respectivement le bloc-feuillet et les 5 timbres de cette série (conception : Pinch Design Pt Ltd) ! 
The National Day Parade (NDP) is a very important ceremony in Singapore, organized the day of the National Day on August 9th to commemorate the Independence Day of the country (August 9, 1965).
The first National Day Parade was held in 1966 on the Padang, an open playing field located within the Downtown Core, the country's economic heart.
In order to celebrate the 58th anniversary of independence, the SingPost put into circulation, on August 8, 2023, an interesting series (5 stamps + 1 souvenir sheet) dedicated to this National Day Parade, organized again this year on the Padang.
A big thank you Terence for these two splendid official FDCs concerning respectively the souvenir sheet and the 5 stamps of this series (design: Pinch Design Pt Ltd)!

 

Le bloc-feuillet ci-dessus (2$) représente les festivités de cette Fête Nationale avec le foule réunie sur le Padang le soir à l'occasion du tir de feux d'artifice.
A noter ce citoyen au 1er plan avec son t-shirt comportant la mention "I love SG", prenant un selfie avec sa petite amie.
Dans le fond, la célèbre façade de l'ancien hôtel de ville (transformé en galerie d'art en 2015), décorée à l'occasion de cette fête nationale, avec en particulier la mention "Majulah Singapura" ("Puisse Singapour progresser"), l'hymne national de Singapour.
Le spectacle de cette année célébrait la diversité qui constitue le tissu de l'identité singapourienne et de sa résilience en tant que nation. "Onward As One" ("En avant comme un seul homme "), le thème de ce défilé 2023 appelait les singapouriens à regarder vers l'avenir avec confiance et à avancer ensemble dans la construction d'un avenir commun en tant que peuple uni.
The souvenir sheet above ($2) represents the festivities of this National Day with the crowd gathered on the Padang in the evening for the fireworks.

In the background, the famous facade of the Former City Hall (transformed into an art gallery in 2015), decorated on the occasion of this national holiday, with in particular the words "Majulah Singapura" ("Onward Singapore"), the national anthem of Singapore.
This year's show celebrated the diversity that forms the fabric of Singapore's identity and its resilience as a nation. "Onward As One", the theme of this 2023 parade called upon Singaporeans to look forward confidently and move onward together in building a shared future as one united people.

 

 

Les 5 timbres de cette série ci-dessus (avec valeurs de "1st Local" à 1,50$) évoquant des partie de ces célébrations sur le Padang ayant eu lieu le 9 août 2023, en présence de la présidente de la République de Singapour, Halimah Yacob.
On peut y voir en particulier l’atterrissage de parachutistes des forces armées de Singapour, les "Red Lions", un défilé aérien (avions, hélicoptères avec le complexe commercial et hôtelier "Marina Bay Sands" dans le fond) et un défilé militaire.
A noter que ces 5 timbres ont été imprimés avec en partie un vernis UV spécial laissant apparaître des éléments de feux d'artifice.
The 5 stamps from this series above (with values from "1st Local" to $1.50) evoke parts of these celebrations on the Padang which took place on August 9, 2023, in the presence of the President of the Republic of Singapore, Halimah Yacob.
In particular, you can see the landing of paratroopers from the Singapore armed forces, the "Red Lions", an air parade (planes, helicopters with the "Marina Bay Sands" shopping and hotel complex in the background) and a military parade.
To note that these 5 stamps were printed partly with a special spot UV revealing fireworks elements.
