L'année 2024 marque le 300ème anniversaire de la naissance du célèbre philosophe prussien Emmanuel Kant (1724-1804) et quelques administrations postales ont déjà mis en circulation des timbres en son honneur : Monaco, Pologne, Allemagne, Uruguay, République serbe de Bosnie, Russie...
Le 10 avril 2024, la poste tchèque a émis un timbre (tarif "E" pour un envoi jusqu'à 50g en Europe - 44 CZK, tirage : 300000), conçu par Markéta Prachatická et imprimé en feuille de 50 timbres, présent sur le FDC officiel (tirage : 2300) ci-dessous avec TAD de Prague. Merci beaucoup Slavek !
L'illustration sur l'enveloppe évoque la tombe d'Emmanuel Kant à Königsberg (l'actuelle Kaliningrad en Russie), sa ville de naissance qu'il n'a pratiquement jamais quitté pendant toute sa vie.
Le motif du timbre fait référence aux réflexions de Kant et à son époque...
The year 2024 marks the 300th anniversary of the birth of the famous Prussian philosopher Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) and some postal administrations have already put stamps into circulation in his honor: Monaco, Poland, Germany, Uruguay, Republika Srpska, Russia...
On April 10, 2024, the Czech Post issued a stamp (rate "E" for a shipment up to 50g in Europe - 44 CZK, print run: 300,000), designed by Markéta Prachatická and printed in a sheet of 50 stamps, present on the official FDC (print run: 2,300) below with cancellation from Prague. The illustration on the envelope evokes Immanuel Kant's grave in Königsberg (present-day Kaliningrad in Russia), his birthplace that he practically never left throughout his life.

Emmanuel Kant a transformé le monde sans pourtant l'avoir exploré. Pour autant, ses écrits ont transformé la pensée humaine dans le monde entier. Kant est considéré comme l'un des philosophes majeurs du siècle des Lumières ("Aufklärung") et beaucoup jugent que ses œuvres sont aujourd'hui toujours d’actualité, 300 ans après sa naissance.
À l'occasion de cet anniversaire, de grandes expositions et divers événements lui sont consacrés en particulier en Allemagne en 2024.
Kant est connu principalement pour son ouvrage "Critique de la Raison pure", mais aussi pour ses réflexions en morale, en esthétique, et en politique. Il vivait selon un emploi du temps immuable. Enseignant à l'université de Königsberg, il fut l'un des premiers philosophes à occuper une chaire universitaire.
Immanuel Kant transformed the world without having explored it. However, his writings transformed human thought throughout the world. Kant is considered one of the major philosophers of the Age of Enlightenment ("Aufklärung") and many believe that his works are still relevant today, 300 years after his birth.
On the occasion of this anniversary, major exhibitions and various events are dedicated to him, particularly in Germany in 2024.
Kant is known mainly for his work "The Critique of Pure Reason", but also for his reflections on morality, aesthetics, and politics. He lived according to an unchanging schedule. A professor at the University of Königsberg, he was one of the first philosophers to hold a university chair.
