Série "Jeux olympiques Paris 2024" sur FDC de Hong Kong
Le 26 juillet 2024, la poste de Hong Kong a mis en circulation une jolie série (4 timbres) consacrée aux jeux olympiques de Paris 2024 (33ème olympiade) organisés du 26 juillet au 11 août 2024.
A Paris, la délégation de Hong Kong (34 athlètes engagés dans 12 sports)
participait pour la 18ème fois de son histoire aux jeux olympiques
d'été (depuis 1952), avec un bilan historique de 4 médailles remportées : 2 en or
(Cheung Ka Long en fleuret masculin et Vivian Kong en épée féminine) et 2 en bronze (Siobhán Haughey en natation - 100 m et 200m nage libre).
Conçue par Chan Ching-tsui, cette série met en vedette des sports dans lesquels la délégation de Hong Kong a déjà remporté des médailles aux jeux olympiques : escrime (2,20$), natation (4$), tennis de table (5,40$) et cyclisme sur piste (5,50$).
On July 26, 2024, the Hong Kong Post put into circulation a nice series (4 stamps) dedicated to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (33rd Olympiad) organized from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
In Paris, the Hong Kong delegation (34 athletes engaged in 12 sports) participated for the 18th time in its history in the Summer Olympic Games (since 1952), with a historic record of 4 medals won: 2 gold (Cheung Ka Long in men's foil and Vivian Kong in women's épée) and 2 bronze (Siobhán Haughey in swimming - 100m and 200m freestyle).
Designed by Chan Ching-tsui, the series features sports in which the Hong Kong delegation has previously won medals at the Olympics: fencing ($2.20), swimming ($4), table tennis ($5.40) and track cycling ($5.50).
Ces 4 timbres, imprimés chacun en feuille de 25 timbre ainsi que dans un bloc-feuillet, comportant l'emblème de la Fédération des sports et comité olympique de Hong Kong, Chine, ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessus avec TAD Premier Jour évoquant une médaille olympique. Merci beaucoup Ellis !
Parmi les 13 médailles olympiques (4 or, 3 argent, 6 bronze) de Hong Kong remportées lors des jeux d'Atlanta, Athènes, Londres, Tokyo et Paris, certaines ont été gagnées également en voile et en karaté.
Siobhán Haughey (4 médailles en natation, 2 argent, 2 bronze), Cheung Ka Long (2 médailles d'or en escrime) et Lee Wai Sze (2 médailles de bronze en cyclisme sur piste) sont les athlètes de Hong Kong les plus performants de l'histoire des jeux olympiques.

Among Hong Kong's 13 Olympic medals (4 gold, 3 silver, 6 bronze) won at the games in Atlanta, Athens, London, Tokyo and Paris, some were also won in sailing and karate.
