Bloc-feuillet "Jeux olympiques Paris 2024" sur FDC de Monaco
Le 20 juin 2024, l'Office des timbres de la Principauté de Monaco a mis en circulation un bloc-feuillet (4 timbres à 1,29€) consacré aux jeux olympiques de Paris 2024 (33ème olympiade) organisés du 26 juillet au 11 août 2024.
Conçu par David Maraskin, ce bloc-feuillet (tirage : 35000) figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous, avec illustration montrant le célèbre rocher de Monaco.
L'emblème du comité olympique monégasque est présent au centre de ce bloc-feuillet et sur le TAD ainsi que sur les 4 timbres illustrant les 5 disciplines sportives dans lesquelles les 6 athlètes monégasques étaient engagés à Paris (natation, judo, athlétisme, aviron, tennis de table), ainsi que le tennis, la voile (kitesurf et laser) et la boxe.
On June 20, 2024, the Stamp Office of the Principality of Monaco put into circulation a souvenir sheet (four €1.29 stamps) dedicated to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (33rd Olympiad) organized from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
Designed by David Maraskin, this souvenir sheet (print run: 35,000) is present on the official FDC below, with an illustration showing the famous rock of Monaco.
The emblem of the Monegasque Olympic Committee is present in the center of this souvenir sheet and on the postmark as well as on the four stamps illustrating the 5 sports disciplines in which the 6 Monegasque athletes were engaged in Paris (swimming, judo, athletics, rowing, table tennis), as well as tennis, sailing (kitesurfing and laser) and boxing.
Ce bloc-feuillet arbore aussi les couleurs du drapeau français et certains des monuments emblématiques de Paris : cathédrale Notre-Dame, Tour Eiffel, basilique du Sacré-Cœur et Arc de Triomphe.
Monaco a la particularité d'être le pays ayant participé au plus grand
nombre de jeux olympiques d'été et d'hiver (33 éditions) sans avoir
jamais remporté la moindre médaille...
Sur ce bloc-feuillet, le concepteur a presque respecté la parité entre hommes et femmes, rappelant que 3 hommes et 3 femmes composaient cette délégation de Monaco et que ces jeux de Paris étaient les premiers jeux olympiques paritaires de l'histoire.
This souvenir sheet also features the colours of the French flag and some of the emblematic monuments of Paris: Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Eiffel Tower, the Sacré-Cœur Basilica and the Arc de Triomphe.
Monaco has the distinction of being the country that has participated in the greatest number of Summer and Winter Olympic Games (33 editions) without ever having won a single medal...
On this souvenir sheet, the designer has almost respected parity between men and women, recalling that 3 men and 3 women made up this delegation from Monaco and that these Paris Olympic Games were the first Olympic Games in history to reach full gender parity.
